The scene had changed from the Divination classroom to the courtyard of the school. They were all walking at a quickened pace and they were all clearly frustrated.
As they walked through the courtyard, they heard the shrill sound of metal. They found near the edge of the courtyard a man with a black mask sharpening a very large axe.
"Who the hell is this bloke?" Cathy questioned.
"I'm guessing that this is the man who's going to carry out Buckbeak's sentence." Regulus predicted.
"I can't believe they're going to kill Buckbeak. It's just too horrible." Hermione said.

"It just got worse." Ron said.
On their way to Hagrid's were Draco, Crabbe and Goyle. The three of them were all crouched down in front of a large rock and were smirking and laughing to themselves.
"You have got to be kidding me." Marlene covered her face with her hand in annoyance.
"What did I say? Father said I can keep the hippogriff's head." Draco boasted. "I'll donate it to the Gryffindors' room."
"If you're going to be that petty, cousin," Ryan said announcing their arrival. "I'll reciprocate the gesture by beating you with it."
"Not a bad idea." James approved.
"Look who's here." Malfoy said standing up from his crouching spot. Crabbe and Goyle followed after him and as usual were standing side by side with Malfoy in the middle. "Come to see the show?"
"You! You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" Hermione spat out. She quickly closed the distance between them and after taking out her wand pressed it harshly at Draco's throat.
"Yes!" Fabian cheered.
Draco, to no one's surprise, stood in shock and fear and simply closed his eyes and whimpered. Neither Crabbe nor Goyle made any move to help or disarm Hermione.
"Hermione, no!" Ron stopped her. "He's not worth it."
"I disagree." Ryan said. He stepped closer and began to talk directly in Hermione's ear. "Do it, Hermione. You know you want to."
"What is he, the little demon on her shoulder?" Barty chuckled.
Hermione, much to Ryan's disappointment, lowered her wand. She stepped back and turned back to her friends. A second later she turned around and her fist made contact with Draco's nose.
