The Fic That Started It All

Rain pattered gently against the agency windows; a rhythmic beat that made the late afternoon feel sleepier than it was. [Y/N] strolled into the office, boots leaving faint wet prints on the floor, coffee in one hand and a half-eaten protein bar in the other.

She was about to greet her teammates when the scene before her made her pause.

Tamaki was in the corner, hunched over himself like a turtle retreating into its shell, his face practically glowing red from embarrassment. Kirishima, on the other hand, looked like he'd just won the lottery, his wide grin practically splitting his face as he stared down at a tablet in his lap.

"Okay," [Y/N] said slowly, eyeing them both. "What the hell is going on?"

Kirishima glanced up, eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, you're going to love this. Brace yourself."

"Huh?"

Tamaki let out a sound somewhere between a squeak and a dying hiccup. Kirishima stood up and handed her the tablet, practically bouncing on his heels. Curious now, she looked down at the screen.

The name of the site read MyHeroFic.Pro.jp

Right below it, the bold title of a fanfiction:

"Tangled in Shadows and Sheets"
Rating: Explicit
Pairing: Suneater x [Y/H/N]
Summary: When shadows fall and hero duty ends, two souls find each other in secret, in silence, and in sinfully creative ways...

[Y/N] blinked. Once. Twice. "No way!"

"Oh, there's more," Kirishima said, practically vibrating.

She scrolled. And sure enough graphic. Detailed. Hot. Even kind of poetic in places. The imagery was intense, the emotional build-up almost shockingly tender, and the..."Wow," she muttered under her breath. "I didn't even know that was physically possible."

Tamaki let out a low groan, curling tighter into himself. "Please... just delete it... erase it from existence..."

[Y/N] looked up, eyes glittering with wicked humour. "Oi, Suneater," she called. "Got anything to say in your defence? For doing all those things to me on paper?"

Kirishima choked on a laugh. Tamaki twitched.

"I-I didn't write it!" he protested weakly, peeking at her from behind his hands.

"But you're not denying you could."

Tamaki's brain short-circuited.

He fainted.

[Y/N] blinked. "Oops."

Kirishima wheezed. "Okay, I knew this would be good, but that was amazing."

As she handed the tablet back, [Y/N] kept her gaze on the unconscious form of her very flustered colleague. And though she'd started the day expecting routine hero work and maybe a decent cup of coffee, something about this had sparked a new kind of curiosity.

She smirked.

"Wonder if there's a sequel."

Fanfic Rabbit Holes and Heroic Regrets

Tamaki had absolutely not gone home that night and searched for the fic again.

Nope.

Certainly not while curled up under his blanket, scrolling in the dark, his face steadily heating as he read about a very confident, fictional version of himself saying things he'd never have the guts to say out loud. Things that made him choke on his pillow. Things that made his stomach twist with a feeling he didn't want to name.
