i have been trying to make these longer. but my longest so far has only been 2 pages. anyway here is the fifth chapter and i will most likely put chapter 6 up today. hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 5
***** Max's POV*****
I watched as she practically flew over the desks for the door. Maybe she didn't like us.
"it's not that she doesn't like us, I think she is going to calm herself. Her thoughts were racing faster than even I could keep up with mainly it was just a blur of color. She never stopped on one thought long enough for me to see what she was thinking about. She's probably fine." Derek said.
"I guess. But she didn't look ok." I couldn't help but wonder what had spooked her so much about us.
We all walked through the corridor to our next class. It all seemed so simple. We already knew everything that they would teach us, but to keep up with appearances we had to go to school and pretend like what they were teaching us was a foreign subject. That we didn't know anything about it like the rest of the student population.
We entered the room for Chemistry with Mrs. Marks. Took our seats in the back of the class and waited the bell rang. She started talking roll, I wasn't really paying attention I was still wondering if Melissa was going to be ok.
Mark DeAngelo.......
Blake Edwards.........
Melissa Fox......
I froze. I couldn't help but worry, she had raced off after class. And now she wasn't here.
"you need to relax. She is in the next corridor talking to a guy named Blake. Apparently she doesn't like him. She is thinking how much she would like to see him flattened underneath a steam-roller. And her exact words were. You're a jerk, a pig, and I hope you end up old and alone. " Derek Said.
I thought to him. "ok. But if she isn't in here in 20 mins I'm going to go find her."
"what has gotten to you? She is just some human girl that you just met. As you put it just sit back and relax." I cut the connection.
I couldn't help but think he was right. I shouldn't care so much about some girl I just met. Yes she was cute but what was it that drew all of us in to her?
The class proceeded with the usual banter about what we were going to study this year and what she expected of us, what we were going to study and more. Before I knew what had happened there was 5 minutes of class left and still no sign of Melissa. I had wasted 55 minutes day dreaming. Derek had fallen asleep on the desk, Will was drawing some kind of flower or something like that. His talent still amazed me, and Rob I guess was day dreaming like I had been.
The bell rang for our next class.
I looked over to see Derek was wide eyed which turned into him being furious.
"what's wrong?"
"The last I checked Melissa was talking with Blake at school." Derek Said.
"ok...I still don't see what the problem is"
"Max, she's not on school grounds anymore."
"maybe she went home."
"She's at the park east of here" Rob said.
"Derek....where is Melissa's house?"
"its west of the school."
I couldn't help but wonder what she was doing at the park. That was a longer walk from the school than it was to her house, and there wasn't much out there anyway.
"Derek is Blake still with Melissa?"
"I don't know....." I knew it was hard for him to seek out the mind of a person he had never met before but I needed that information. I needed to know that she was ok.
"...Yes, Blake is with her. But it looks like he is mad she pushed him....he keeps thinking about how much his head hurts and how he cant wait to catch her. She's running. Its only making him madder. But he is catching up to her and fast. "
The corridor was now empty the bell had ran a minute ago. Before either of them could tell me to stop or not to go, I took off running in the direction of the park and Melissa. In 8 seconds they were following me. But by that time I had at least a good 2 mile head start and it would only take me 10 seconds to get there I was the fastest out of all of us. And if Blake valued his life he wouldn't lay a hand on her.
