funny, I always write for myself

but every now and then

I write for you

because for some odd reason

you eat up my poetry

like you eat up cherries

(I love poetry

and I love cherries)

so I find it strange

that all these poems about you

were also for you

but I guess

they say

"nothing gold can stay"

but can you

stay

just for

a little while longer?
