he told me I was the kind of person to evolve

which isn't scientifically correct

(because evolution occurs over generations)

but that's okay

(because he's an artist, not a scientist)

I'm the kind of person

to grow and develop

(another characteristic of life)

I'm a person to learn from my mistakes

to learn from my past

to know that my choices have consequences

but I'm not going to be politically correct

or societally correct

(I'll be medically correct, but that's a different story)

why won't I conform to others?

to myself?

to the world?

because I always thought to myself

if a revolution should begin

it should begin with

me.
