I miss my best friend

because

watching Finding Nemo

and making an appropriate handshake based off of it

was important

knowing that childhood

was watching Beetlejuice

and The Addams Family

was necessary

singing out loud

like lunatics

was normal

crying

when he broke up with me

was expected

having a best friend

to help you fall asleep

was safety

and I still think the funniest memory

of you

was waking up

to you laughing

and saying that you

thought I was your brother

in the middle of the night

and nearly cuddling me.
