"Hey baby girl, come over?"  I grin widely as I hear Matt's voice on the other side of the line.

"Yea I'll be right there." I chirp, nodding my head rapidly before hanging up the phone and leaping off my bed. I rush to my closet, grabbing my black beanie and my purse before running out the door of my house.
I sprint down the familiar streets, reaching Matt's house in not time. My cheeks are rosy and I am slightly panting as I knock on the door.
Matt's face suddenly pops up, a smile on his perfect face.

"Hey baby girl." He hums, engulfing me in a hug. I smile and bury my face in his warm chest.

"Let's go up to my room." Matt whispers in my ear, lacing our fingers together and leading me up to his room. I sit down next to Matt on his bed, many memories having been made here. Matt pulls me onto his lap, nuzzling his nose in my neck.

"I've got a challenge for you. You think you're up for it?" I can feel Matt's smirk on my neck. I turn around to face him, straddling my legs around his waist. I raise my eyebrows and give him a questioning look.

"Depends." I mumble.

"I challenge you, too try and go 24 hours without me. No texting or phoning." Matt says. I look down at my hands, chewing on my bottom lip before looking back into Matt's hazel eyes. A smile cracks on my face and I nod my head.

"Fine, challenge accepted." I chirp, planting a kiss on his plumb lips. As I go to pull away, Matt wraps his arms around my waist holding me closer to his body and deepening the kiss. I kiss back hungrily, electricity shooting through my body like it did 2 years ago when Matt and I shared our first kiss. Matt pulls away, panting out of breath.

"I love you so much." He leans his forehead against mine. "Never forget that." He breaths, kissing me one last time. I hop of his lap and grab my purse.

"See you in 24 hours. I love you too, so much." I smile brightly before making my way downstairs and out of Matt's house. I never noticed how Matt's smile had slightly vanished as I said goodbye.

I sit in bed, starring blankly at my phone, not knowing what to do. It's 7pm now, and I'm seeing Matt at 11am tomorrow. I groan as I roll over in my bed. I let out a loud sigh. The night goes by slow, but I soon find myself waking up in my bed, the sun peeking through the crack in my curtains. I yawn and stretch out my arms. A smile forms on my face, remembering the challenge. I look at the clock on my bed side table. 10:35am.

I swing my legs over the side of my bed and rush to my closet. I pick out black jeans, a black hoodie and my turquise vans.

I arrive at Matt's house at precisely 11:01. Not bothering to knock, I push open the door.

"Matt?" I shout, looking around for him. I frown as I hear no answer. I walk up to his room, noticing sobbing coming from inside. I decide to knock this time.

"Y/n?" I furrow my eyebrows as I hear Ms. Espinosa's weak voice. I open the door, gasping as I see her kneeling on the floor, Matt laying in his bed. I stand there, frozen as I notice he's not breathing. Tears start to fall from my eyes as I drop to the ground.

"W-what happened!" I shout, burying my face in my hands.

"Sweety, he's been dying for a while now. He didn't want you to know. I'm so sorry." Ms. Espinosa says, wrapping her arm around my shoulder. With shaky hands she hands me a small note with Matt's hand writing on it.

"He wanted you to have this." She stutters before leaving his room. I stare at the letter for a few minutes, tears dripping onto the small piece of paper in my hand.

You did it baby girl, now can you do it every day?

I cry harder as I realize he is talking about the challenge. He's gone, forever. I crawl over to his life less body, holding his ice cold hand in mine.

"I'll try, but I'll never love anyone as much as I love you." I cry, my whole world crashing down around me. Why didn't he tell me.
