A/N- Most people haven't seen TVD season 7 or the trailer. So I posted it above. Enjoy!

Holly, Elena, and Damon were pacing around the Salvatore living room each feeling their own guilt. Damon and Elena because they had locked Stefan in the basement and Holly because she hadn't told Elena yet that Jeremy was hot on their trail.

"Is locking him up really necessary?" Elena asked as she faced Damon. "I mean, you've seen him at his worse, can't he just get over it?"

"Elena," Holly said. "It's not a cold, besides maybe a couple of days in isolation is what he needs so that he doesn't . . . you know kill."

"I'm with Holly on this one," Damon said as he looked at the Gilbert compass that Pearl had given to him as a peace offering. "We can't let the council get too suspicious."

Elena looked at the compass. "Did you ever find out what that was?"

"Whatever it is, it doesn't work." He said flatly. "She thought she was stealing his vampire compass, but that was his pocket watch. Speaking of which, have either of you spoken to your uncle lately."

Elena and Holly exchanged looks. "No recently, Elena is spending all of her time with Stefan and I'm avoiding him, I really don't need another lecture about not running away. Speaking of which, I'm late for my shift, Elena want a ride home?"

Elena nodded. "We'll be back later," she looked at Damon. "Is that a problem?"

"Yep," he smirked. "You two are a drag to have around."

"Liar, liar pants on fire." Damon sing song as Holly parked her car near the apartment building at Grovel Hill. "You didn't have a shift today."

"Shut up," Holly said as she killed the engine. "I just didn't want to get Elena's hopes up, it's bad enough that she thinks Isobel is still alive and a vampire, we don't need to add to the fact that Uncle John has been secretly communicating with her."

"What about your hopes?" Damon raised an eyebrow. "Are you ready to meet Mommy dearest? Oh, maybe she and John are having a secret love affair, isn't that something?"

Holly scowled. "You're an ass, and I don't get my hopes up. Not anymore."

"What is she doing here?" Alaric demanded. "Holly, you shouldn't be here."

She raised an eyebrow. "Touché, I get it that you're a vampire hunter, but aren't you a little too eager for the job?"

"I found the information and I don't trust Damon. Why is she here?"

Damon shrugged. "She's a witch, she's useful."

Alaric looked baffled. "A what?"

"It's a long story." Holly said as she walked up the apartment stairs. "I'll tell you later. So should I just open the door?"

"I'll do it." Damon opened the door and stepped in. "Sweet, I can get in." Alaric and Holly followed. "Ric check the bedroom, I'll check the kitchen."

Holly opened the refrigerator door and found a stack of blood bags. "Damon-"

A man jumped on Alaric and Alaric stabbed him with his wooden knuckles. "Boys, boys that's enough," Damon pushed them off each other and stared at the man. "I know you."

"Damon?"

"Your name is Henry," Damon said. "You were in the tomb."

Henry smiled. "Yes sir, what are you doing here?"

"So my uncle John has been helping you out?" Holly asked politely as she took the cup of tea from Henry.

Henry nodded. "Yes, Miss Holly, your uncle is a good man, he's been helping me ever since I got out of the tomb. It's a whole new world, cell phones, internet. John is a great guy."

"That John always a do goober." Damon said sarcastically.

Alaric glanced at Holly. "So do you live by yourself or with somebody else?"

Damon noticed Alaric's sharp tone and Henry's frowning face. "What my friend is trying to say is if you know anyone named Isobel?"

"No, I don't know an Isobel, John is my only real friend."

"What else do you do for John?" Holly asked casually, but inside she was boiling. Leave it to John to weasel into things.

Henry shrugged. "I help keep an eye on the other vampires from the tomb, they are all pissed at the founding families, not me though, and I'm cool."

"What does John want with them?" Damon snapped.

Henry's cell phone rang. "That's John right now."

"Let me talk to him." Damon took the phone from him, but didn't answer it.

"Aren't you going to answer that?"

"I don't know am I?"

Sensing that something was wrong, Henry pounced towards Damon, but Alaric staked him.

"Why did you kill him?" Holly demanded.

"John doesn't need any more vampire slaves," Damon saw her upset face. "I'm sorry that we didn't find anything about your mom."

"It's ok," she said in a non-convincing voice. "I wasn't expecting anything."

Alaric put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Come on, let's go home."

"Thank you, Harper," Pearl told Harper as he placed the suitcases by the door. "Annabelle should be with us at any moment, you don't have to come with us if you don't want too."

Harper shook his head. "It would be an honor to go with you Miss Pearl."

Pearl smiled. "Let me help you." She grabbed the suitcase and opened the door and at that moment a stake pierced her heart and she fell dead.

"Bourbon." Alaric ordered the bartender at the Grill. He felt someone approached him, he turned around and he stumbled. "Isobel."

Isobel smiled. "Hello, Rick."
