"The building is on fire!" Stefan shouted as he pointed towards the burning building.

Holly stopped short as she paled. She shook her head. "No, it can't be-"she continued running faster. "That's my dad's old building!"

They hurried towards the burning building where they saw John locking the door. "Where's Damon?" Holly demanded.

John looked at them. "With the rest of them where they belonged, it's over for Damon."

"You're crazy!" Elena shouted.

"Why because I'm doing what should have been done 145 years ago?" he noticed that Stefan was looking at the burning building. "Go ahead, you won't make it out. It will save me the trouble from killing you myself."

Stefan turned to Elena. "Is there another way in?"

"Utility door, there's one on the other side." Holly blurted out. "I'll go with you."

"No, you won't." John said taking a step forward.

"Yes, I will." Holly hissed as she pushed John away and followed Stefan.

John noticed that Elena was thinking about following them. "You take one more step and I'll alert those deputies that they missed a vampire."

"I'm asking you not to." Elena insisted.

"That doesn't mean anything to me."

"As our father it should."

John looked taken back. "You know."

"Holly and I had a guess." Elena corrected. "But now we know for good."

"Hey, you can't go in there!" Bonnie shouted when she noticed that Holly and Stefan were seriously considering just waltzing inside. "The fire will take you out."

"He's my brother, Bonnie."

"Bonnie, you said you had taken the spell out of the device." Holly looked at Bonnie who look ashamed. "You lied."

"I'm sorry, Holly. We can help you, I know of a way to stop the fire long enough for you to get Damon and get out." She looked at Holly. "That is if Holly helps me."

Holly nodded as she looked at Stefan. "Go ahead." She grabbed Bonnie's hands and they began reciting. "Ex spirited, in term-"Holly felt as if her inside were burning up themselves, she had never done that spell before. She felt a throbbing pain in her head as she gave out small yell.

"Holly," she felt Elena shake her. "It's done."

Holly blinked once, feeling the blood dripping down her nose. Stefan was coughing, but holding him slightly up was Damon.

"I'm fine." Holly insisted as she dropped the tissue that she had used to clean her nose in the trashcan. "I wasn't the one that almost burned to death. I'm just tired."

"Here." Damon bit his wrist. Holly looked dumbfounded. "It will help you feel better, dummy."

Holly narrowed her eyes as she took a sip of his blood. His blood was warm and tangy, with a somewhat bitter taste. She looked up when she saw Damon running a hand through her dark hair. "You ok?"

"Did you get enough?"

She nodded. "I'm just going to get my costume from the locker rooms and then head on home. For what it's worth, I'm glad you're not dead."

Damon smirked, but it faltered. "Just a heads up, Anna died, so Jeremy is going to be a little more-"

"Difficult. Crazy. Great."

Katherine Pierce looked at her reflection in her mirror, trying to make sure that she had captured every aspect of Holly Gilbert perfectly. Wavy hair, check. Brown doe eyes, check, fabulous boots, yes. She dragged the garment bag that she was holding as she headed towards the Gilbert home, knowing Holly was still at the school looking for her missing costume.

Robbing Holly's costume and toning her appearance had been surprisingly easy. She had thought about impersonating her doppelganger Elena, but the girl was so whiny and needy that Katherine thought it was exhausting and Katherine thought that Holly was as good as any.

She stopped on her front porch and saw Damon waiting for Holly. "Damon, what are you doing here?"

"Failed and feeble attempt at doing the right thing."

Katherine raised an eyebrow. "Which was?"

Damon stood up. "It's not important, let me take this from you." Katherine nodded her thanks. "You know I came to this town wanting to destroy it, tonight I wanted to protect it, how does that happened? I'm not a good guy, Holly. I have no good in me."

"Maybe you do."

Damon shook his head. "No, it's reserve for my brother, you, Elena, Bonnie even though she has every right to hate me. You could have let me die in that fire, but you didn't. So I wanted to thank you."

Katherine shook her head. "You don't have to thank me."

"Actually I do." Damon kissed her cheek and Katherine turned around slightly so that Damon kissed her fully. They were kissing passionately when Aunt Jenna opened the door.

"Hi," Katherine said.

"It's late." Jenna said stiffly. "You should probably head inside."

Katherine nodded as she took the dress from Damon and headed inside, as soon as the door was closed Jenna turned towards her. "What are you doing?"

Katherine cleared her throat. "I don't want to talk about it."

As soon as she was sure that noisy Aunt Jenna was up in bed, Katherine put her hair in a ponytail and made a cup of tea, grabbing a small tube that was labeled RAT POISON and mixing it along with the tea and honey.

Katherine smirked. She didn't hate Holly, she kind of actually liked her, but she was a witch and witch equals problems and she knew it would hurt Elena and Katherine wanted nothing more than to hurt her in the process.

She heard the door click open.

"Well, someone definitely took my clothes. Why would someone want a corset?" Holly grumbled as she came into the kitchen. "Elena, are you making tea?"

She nodded. "Want some?"

Holly took the teacup from her and took a long sip. She frowned, it tasted funny. She took a longer sip. She felt her entire body shake in pain as she let the teacup fall on the floor. Holly grabbed the counter. "Elena, what did you put in it?"

"I'm not Elena, sweetie."

Holly's brown eyes widened as she choked out. "Katherine. . ." and then fell to the floor.
