"So this means you'll be around permanently now," Jae looked at me with bright eyes as I packed up the last bit of my office.

"Yes."

He chuckled with joy. "Don't tell Hongbin that. He'll go crazy."

I looked at him before laughing slightly too. "Would you mind grabbing that box please?"

Jae nodded before grabbing the last box on my desk and moving out the door with me.

"So this means you'll have to become more acquainted with the language," he spoke. "I can be your teacher." He smirked.

I smiled at him. "My teacher and my house hunting partner."

He looked at me as if I just told him he'd won the Pulitzer Prize as we stepped into the elevator. "You want me to help you house hunt?"

"Yes. Why, is that an issue?"

"No. It's just a bit surprising is all."

"Why? I thought we'd already been shopping buddies. This is just a slightly different type of shopping."

He smirked as the elevator stopped on the top floor.

The agency had appointed me to Lily's position within the week. I accepted the job since it was evidently in my best interest. I was already planning to spend quite a bit of time here due to this ongoing case. I also have been spending more time around the city and found that it had grown on me well. I could see myself living here a long time, and that I was going to do. It was a new start and a great place to settle for a busy life like mine. There would be a ceremony later in the day to accept me as the new head of the agency.

Right now I was in the process of moving all of my stuff into my new office. Lily's family had come by and together we cleared her stuff from the office at one time.

Jae opened the door for me and we walked in together. The office really was a beautiful space.

It was very large, probably a 25 by 30 foot space. The door opened near the corner of the office. All the way to the left against the back wall was a set of black wooden storage units of shelves, drawers and cabinets. Glass panes covered the fronts of the cabinets so you could see into them. In between, where a space was left open for desk purposes, stretched a small fish tank across the length of the space. Lily's family had left the fish for me and said she often relaxed herself by watching them so they wished that they'd do the same for me.

In front of the storage was a matching prodigious presidential desk that wrapped in the style of a horseshoe but was square instead of rounded. The front and sides of the desk were well decorated with patterns of intricate hand carved designs. Along the side wall were floor to ceiling windows that opened to the skyline of the west end of the city. There were two, on each corner of the wall, that stretched horizontally about five feet from the corner. Large, dark red drapes were slid to the sides of them to allow the daylight in. Centered against the side wall was a large black leather sofa with a glass coffee table in front of it and a red area rug beneath them. Two matching seats sat across from the sofa facing it and two more sat in front of my desk.

On the wall nearest to the door was a small personal kitchenette with a coffee machine, refrigerator, sink and microwave. Beside that a door that led to a small bathroom. The office was perfect. Especially for days when I had too much to do to actually have time to leave the office much.
