Jae followed me to the press room now. He'd stuck close by me the entire time to do whatever I needed him to, which was mainly translating.

The metropolitan police agency had been involved in a hunt for two hours before they requested our assistance in this chase. Five hours after that request, Jae and I were about to enter a press conference to inform the media of the current situation.

Three men had been running around the city shooting random pedestrians and causing chaos. So far there had been two fatalities and ten injuries.

We both entered the room with a few other important figures entering as well. They all seated themselves up on the platform now in front of the microphones.

I walked up to the podium in front of them and Jae followed. "Annyeong," I greeted the press.

I'd just received my position and already I was going to pull my hair out from this crazy mess.

"As of this moment, there have been two fatalities, and ten injuries."

I waited for Jae to translate.

"We have several teams throughout the city that are tracking down these three men as we speak."

Jae spoke.

"We are in the process of closing off all routes out of the city and closing these men in. They are currently in hiding, but we will find them."

Again Jae translated.

"I will take your questions one at a time. I ask that you remain quiet while each individual is speaking."

Jae translated for me.

Several people rose their hands. I pointed to a woman in the front. "Ne?"

She asked her question and Jae translated for me.

"She's asking if there are any hostages."

"As far as we know there are no hostages."

Another raised their hand. I waited for Jae to finish then selected the next man.

"Where was the last place these men were spotted?" Jae looked at me.

"We have knowledge that they were last seen together in Seoul Forest. We have men out there scouting the area now."

"Have you identified them yet?" Jae gave me the next question.

"We have not been able to identify them yet, but the three of them are dressed wearing navy colored clothes and dark hats with sunglasses over their eyes."

"Have the men been seen with any other weapons besides firearms?"

"No, they have not. They're each carrying semiautomatic hand guns from what we've been told."

A man stepped in from the side door and rushed up onto the podium quietly.

"Are the victims being taken care of?"

"All of them are-"

"Prane." The man came up close to my ear. "We have news that six more people have been shot including a mother and child."

My blood ran cold at the news. I froze. My mind went blank. I couldn't find words to say. How could people do this to each other? They're sick. What is even running through their minds.

"Are you okay? What is it?" Jae looked at me nervously.

I couldn't let this go on any further. All of these dead bodies and injured people everywhere. It was sickening. How could humans do this to each other? Why? I've never seen so much death in my life. It has to be stopped.
