The team surrounded Levi with joy and excitement except for me, Trevor, and Steven.

"Um yea I think this is the perfect time to leave." I covered my face with my hair as I continuously hoped he didn't see me. "Bye you guys." I spoke low.

"Wait Arielle." Steven's voice spoke. "I'll walk home with you." He smiled as he nodded his head at me.

I was subtly shocked to hear his request but I decided not to talk, instead replied with a small smile and a nod.

"Bye you guys!" Trevor cheered. "Don't get mugged." He softly chuckled.

The whole room was filled with loud cheers and welcomes for Levi, making me roll my eyes in annoyance.

Steven noticed my fast pace of walking, but he probably already knew the reason why I was so focused in leaving, so he remained quiet.

The both of us quickly left the building, only to be greeted with Xavier.

"I was waiting for you." Xavier's voice spoke monotonously, throwing Steven a cold glance.

"Yea I know sorry." I clenched my hand onto my duffel bag as I tried to figure out a way to tell him I was going to walk with Steven home.

Xavier looked at me confused as he narrowed his eyes at me. "Well are we just gonna stand here? Do you want me to set up a tent, run to the store and start a fire?" He spoke sarcastically as he crossed his arms at us.

I couldn't help but crack out a smile. "I'm walking with Steven home today." I anxiously bit my lip, Xavier's face remaining emotionless.

There was a quick silence, Xavier just silently looking at us with his arms crossed.

"K." He sighed, his eyes slowly turning to his bike.

"Xavier don't be like that! I love you!" I internally rolled my eyes as he threw me a sad face as a joke.

"Love you more!" He chuckled  as I couldn't help but feel bad as I watched him get on the bicycle and slowly paddle away.

"I didn't know." Steven gently placed his hand on my shoulder. "Sorry."

"It's okay." I quietly replied as my eyes landed back on Steven. "Let's go." I simpered.

I mean I'm just walking home with Steven? It's not like I'm doing anything wrong.

"You kept it?" He looked down at my neck.
