Taming my Wild

Oh, honey, you really shouldn't have,

thought you could cage up my stubborn quietness.

I know it sneaks up on you in burst of winter winds,

chaffing your sweaty skin with glaciers of shivering cold,

but I am too wild to tame.

My lips are lying in a pool of molten candle wax,

slippery enough to escape the links of bondage.

my neck too thick for any leash from any cow,

how barbaric of you to kill an innocent thing just to try and tie me up.

I am the female magician capable of breaking every knot down with one tug.

You were way past that detour sign that said run,

when I tamed your wild,

guess it's time for me to tighten the reins of the leash.
