you never did anything other than save me,
when I was drowning in my own waters, when I was falling off the hill I spent so long building,
when I wrecked the walls that had crashed down all around me.
pulling me out of the water, taking me in your arms after I fell,
holding all the bricks of my crumbling foundation in your two hands.
That is what I would have liked to have said when they asked me why I still love you,
but the truth is you held my face under the water, pushed me down the hill,
and took a sledgehammer to the wall I cried over being destroyed.
so why do I still love you? why does a fly race to the flame that will destroy him?
that's why, you are the flame and I am the fly.
burn me, I want you to.
