the first time we made homemade candy it was a disaster,
you said that it was too sweet and it gave you a cavity.
blaming me when the drill was taking out the rotten parts,
just so I would hold your hand.
you cursed at me and the dentist just cause it made you feel better.
I felt so guilty I threw away all of my sugars.
so when I looked into the cupboard and seen your secret stash of canes,
I broke all the pieces of gritty sweetness on the kitchen floor.
So you lied about that too?
barefoot I walk all over your natural sweetness, craving to hold your hand again.
