yeah all the kids said she was crazy for putting up with him, I joined the crowd.
she told us that his good days made the bad days disappear.
us on our bicycles looked at her crying on the streets passing her by,
laughing so many times at her pains hoping our squeaky tires would deafen it to her ears.
I thought of her today when you had one of your bad days,
where I couldn't even breathe right and you called me out on it like a kitten traps a bird.
thought of how she was crying on the streets saying tomorrow would be better,
how I raced past her, making fun of her teardrops on the sidewalk.
so when I cried it was in a locked room know that it wasn't for you, It was for Mrs. Thompson.
I was young but not dumb, I knew I should of hugged her told her she deserved better,
instead I hoped she would never stop crying, who would us kids make fun of then?
so today I hear Karma laughing, not at her but at me, cause I am your joke now.
