Your POV:
Newt was always there to help you... When you were frustrated, he calmed you down. When you have a nightmare, he's there to say it's alright. When you're injuried, he takes care of you and takes you to the homestead... Is he in love with you? Are you in love with him?
"Nicky? Are you okay?" Newt asked.
"Ah? Yea yea... I'm okay I was just thinking."
"Okay..."
You work with Newt in the fields. You look at Newt when he's working... You love the face he makes when he's thinking.
"What are you staring at?" He asks.
"Me? Nothing. I was looking at nothing. Just like the other time."
You were so embarassed and distracted that you cut yourself.
"Ouch! I'm bleeding"
"You can't distract yourself like that. Look what you've done. I'll fix you."
"Newt... Can I ask you something?"
"Yes"
"Well... Do you like me?"
He stops fixing you and stares at you.
"How di-did yo-you know? Was it too obvious?"
"He likes me... What do I do? What do I do? Don't say something stupid. Don't do something stupid." your thoughts.
You leaned in and kissed him. He kissed right back, prolonging the kiss. When you broke apart:
"Wow... Do you like me too?"
"I guess I do"
"Soooo...."
"Soooo...."
"Do you want to be-"
"Yes! I want!!"
You jumped to his arms, hugged him and kissed him again.
