~ Aston's P.O.V ~

I left Kayleigh tucked up in bed and went back down to my parents. It feels good to have let that out in the open because now we can do things properly and start building our future.

"Has Kayleigh got everything she needs?" Mum asked.

"Yeah, she feels a lot better now. Thanks," I replied.

"Is she staying upstairs?"

"She's catching up on her sleep, yeah," I nodded.

"Oh good, she did look exhausted."

"Where's Dad?" I asked.

"He's just outside love, why?"

"I need his help with something."

"Can I not help?"

"No, I need Dad for this."

"Oh," she mumbled.

I wandered outside to the garage looking for Dad, the bonnet of Conor's car up and his head in the engine. I looked over as Conor stood with him trying to be helpful.

"Alright bro," Conor spoke.

"Hey."

"Sorry about the miscarriage, Dad told me what happened at the hospital."

"Yeah, cheers."

"How's she doing?"

"Well you know," I shrugged. "She's sleeping at the minute."

"I'll wait until later to speak to her then," he smiled weakly.

"Pass me that cloth, will you?" Dad asked reaching out his hand.

"I thought you'd have learnt how to check your own oil by now Conor," I teased.

"It's the engine," he chuckled. "It sounded a bit rough on the way home from work."

"I can't seem to find anything wrong with it," Dad shrugged wiping his oily hands.

"There must be something," Conor frowned.

"Just see how it goes."

Slamming down the bonnet he stepped away and tidied up his tools laying on the side.

"Can I ask a favour Dad?" I asked.

"Is everything alright?" he replied.

"Yeah, I just need your help with something."

"What's that?"

"I want to go back to the flat and get some of our belongings."

"What, this soon?"

"Neither of us has our car and theres only so many times Kayleigh can borrow Courtney's clothes."

"It's not going to be that simple though, is it?"

"Probably not, but we've got to go back sometime."

"I don't know Aston, what does Kayleigh think about this?"

"I haven't spoken to her about it."

"Right," I frowned.

"I'm not doing anything wrong," I shrugged.

"Alright, i'll take you to get your car," he agreed.

"Thank you."

"Do you want me to come?" Conor asked.

"Yeah, can you drive Kayleigh's car back?"

"Yeah," he nodded.

"I'll go get my keys," Dad said.
