Chapter 3
Annie Pov.
The tribute parades are tonight so the mentors don't have to do anything. We all go up on the roof and bring food.
"Daniel is nice, but he's so tiny." Nixon tells us.
"He looks like he could be nine years old." Xavier says.
"It wouldn't surprise me if he was." Kim agrees.
"What about Sandy?" I ask. "You think she has a chance?"
"She's Finnick's age when he won and he's the youngest ever. I don't know if she does." Kim says sadly.
"Well, it is hard to win at fourteen." Finnick brags sarcastically and we laugh.
"I wish I was thirteen when I won so I could beat you by one year." I say.
He smiles, "haha."
"Whatever." I roll my eyes.
We go to watch the tribute parades. We sit in the audience and the Capital people ask us questions and we ignore them. The parade starts and we look for Daniel and Sandy. Daniel and Sandy are dressed as fish. There's a new stylist and Annie let him design the costumes this year. This stylist isn't as good. We watch and then something catches my and everyone else's attention. The tributes from twelve are dressed in tight, black, body-suites. They're on fire.
