Chapter 69
Annie Pov.
I get up early. I see Finnick staring at me. I give him a kiss.
"I don't want you to leave me." I tell him.
"I'll never leave you Annie." he tells me.
"Promise?" I ask.
"I promise." he says.
I walk him to where he needs to meet everyone. I kiss him again. Even though he says he won't leave me, it still scares me that I won't ever see him again.
"I'll always be with you. No matter what happens." He tells me.
"Finnick, you'll always mean everything to me." My eyes get watery. I don't know where it comes from but I jump into his arms. "Please don't go." I sob louder. "I need you, more than anything. Please don't leave me." I whimper.
He starts to cry to. "Annie, you need to let me go, I'll be back."
"You can't promise that, you can't. You don't know what's going to happen. Please, you're the reason I'm able to keep breathing, you don't know what I'd do without you. You can't leave me!" I tell him.
"I have to, I'll see you soon." he kisses me one more time, before he leaves.
I scream his name and one of the nurses knocks me out.
