Quinn POV

I'm seated outside on Thursday afternoon.

I'm laying down by my pool relaxing, and of course hoping to get a tan. The sun feels warm against my skin, causing me to feel relaxed and unbothered.

Joy is out with Kay, so she can't hangout with me. I could always invite over my other friends, but I don't really want too. I'd only hangout with them if Joy was here, and since she's not, then I'm not.

This year I'm going to try to make some new friends, and I think that would be easy for me considering.

Just finding ones that want to be friends with me and not my parents money will be hard. I've made that mistake a lot over my life.

I close my eyes, and let the sun heat my body.

It Tuesday of the following week now and I have class.

Today I'm wearing white jean shorts that are high waisted and a cute black tank top that follows the dress code for school. My shoes are black toms that match my outfit well.

As I'm walking to class I feel a hand grab my butt. I jump by the sudden touch and move to the side. I look and see it's Richard, my ex. A light smile is on his face and his eyes look into mine.

"Don't touch me," I say in disgust. "What are you even doing here?"

"I'm in AP Biology," He says with a smile. I roll my eyes and bite my lip. "Can we talk later?" He steps closer towards me, making me take a step back instantly.

"No, leave me alone," I growl with scowling eyes.

"Can't you just forgive me?" He asks me with a semi sad look. I can't take his sadness seriously because if the lingering smirk rested on his lips. His hand rests on my lower back and I push him back a little.

"Don't touch me," I say again. This time I speak a little more sternly.

"You used to let me touch you," My ex says with a sigh.

"Because we were dating you idiot," I say like it's obvious. His eyes look down to my chest, then the rest of my body.

"You look really hot today babe," I get more annoyed and grossed out by him. Richard takes a step closer towards me, and I move back.

"Leave me alone," I say. I wish I never dated him.

"Can't we just talk?" He asks resting his hand on my lower back. I take his hand once again off of me and bite my lip. I get more and more sick by talking to him.

"Everything alright?" I hear a familiar voice say. I glance to my side and see Harry. His eyes are on Richard.

"Yeah man. Just talking to my girlfriend," He says back to him.

"Ex," I correct with an eye roll.

"Just leave her alone dude," Harry says in a kind way.

"Mind your own business," Rich says back to him. He sits up more straight to seem tough, which makes me even more disgusted.

"Grabbing a girls ass in the middle of the hallway and harassing her isn't appropriate. She obviously doesn't want to talk to you, get the hint, and walk away." Harry says in a calm but serious tone.

"What are you guys friends?" My ex asks with a chuckle.

"No, it's called being a nice person. You should try it sometime," He says back. "Now, walk away,"

"Don't tell me what to do," He steps closer towards Harry who remains still. He looks amused which he should. Rich is far from tough.

"Oh, scary," Harry snickers. "Pick up a book on how to treat a girl on the way to wherever you're about to go to, yeah?" They give each other a look before Richard walks away.

My back leans against the lockers behind me and I close my eyes for a brief moment. "Thanks," I say to Harry.

"No need," After that he walks away, and I follow behind him a few moments later.

I'm home now, and I'm tired. I might take a nap later, but I don't know.

I'm watering the flowers outside now. My Mom left for Maine and she wanted me to water her flowers while she's gone. I guess it's the least I can do.

A small ball drops by my feet and I soon hear a young voice speak. "May I have that?" I hear a little girl say. I look over the fence and see who I assume is Harry's younger sister.

"Sure," I say to the little girl I don't know the name of. She looks around four.

I hand her back her blue ball and give her a friendly smile. "Thank you," Dimples appear on her rosy cheeks which make me smile back.

"Yep," I say. The little girl soon walks away and I go back to watering the rest of the flowers.

"You were nice to someone?" I hear a voice remark. I don't even have to look up to know it's Harry.

"So funny," I say through a mumble.

"You should really learn how to take sarcasm," He leans against the fence and looks at me.

"Is there something you need Henry?" I ask while glaring up at him. I'm already annoyed and bothered. A smirk crawls on his lips and his eyes look into mine.

"I love how much I bother you," He says.

"That's nice. Anything else?" I ask, trying to dismiss him.

"No," His arms drop from the fence he was holding onto. It's hot today and I want to get back inside where it's cold.

Harry is wearing a white shirt that's rolled up at his arms and shorts that are black. He's wearing old converse that he always wears as well. "Staring at something love?" He asks.

"Don't call me love," I say again. I was staring at his shirt for some reason. A smirk escapes on his mouth. "Why are you smirking at me?"

"I'm not. Don't flatter yourself Quinta," He says with shadows of dimples resting on his rosy cheeks.

"I'm not flattering myself. Trust me," I say while glaring back at him.

"Uhuh. See you later love," Harry says before leaving. I don't have a chance to say anything since he already walked away.

I roll my eyes to myself and finish what I came outside here to do.
