Quinn POV

I sprained my ankle.

The pain of it felt like I broke it though.

It's Thursday now and I'm sitting at home with my Dad. I have to stay off my foot, which means I can't go to school.

Harry offered to stay with me and be my monkey since I can't walk. I told him to go to school so he can learn and whatnot. Plus, he can get my assignments.

I have my blanket around me comfortably and my feet are up for elevation. "Do you like this show?" My Father asks me.

"Meh," It's some reality show. "You can change it if you want." I tell him.

Without hesitation he changes the channel, making me snicker. I bring my blanket to my chin and rest my head back on the couch, relaxing. No one has heard from my Mother since that night. She hasn't even spoken to Faith and that says something.

"Why are you acting nice to me?" I ask my Dad out of no where. He was supposed to leave for New York a few days ago, but he wanted to stay with me until I can walk and feel better.

His light brown eyes look at me and they're soft. My Father lowers down the TV so we can talk. I feel like he's only nice to me now because he wants something. If that's the case I don't know how I would feel.

"Because I was taking out whatever I had against your Mother on you," He admits to me. "Faith reminds me of myself and you remind me of your mother, before she had kids that is. She's very smart, believe it or not, kind, had this attitude about her that make her interesting, so on.

And I get that vibe from you, and since lately we haven't been in the happiest marriage, whatever reminded me of your Mom, made me mad. And I didn't realize that you and I were strangers because I was taking my anger out on you by pushing you away and treating you bad," He admits to me.

"Before she had kids?" I ask, clarifying.

"She never wanted kids, and I knew that and didn't care. But you know, somethings lead to other things and uh, now we have two kids together." My Father summarizes.

"It sounds like you didn't love her," I admit honestly. I mean she's my own mother and I don't love her. So, I don't blame him.

"I mean," His head tilts to the side. "I married her to marry. I was in love with a different girl and things happened and your Mom was the rebound girl, that I dated for three years then proposed too." My Dad explains.

"That doesn't make sense." I say. If he knew she was the rebound chick why would he still marry her?

"The girl who I loved at the time, was now engaged and I wanted too as well because I was an idiot then and didn't think anything through." He says through a sigh.

"Do you remember her name?" I ask curiously.

My Dad reminds silent and pinches his bottom lip. He looks hesitant to answer. "Uh it was Anne."

My eyes widen by his words and I feel the oxygen leave my lungs by his answer. "The one next door?" I ask. He nods slowly.

My eyebrows furrow a little and I graze my front teeth over my bottom lip. "Does my Mother know you dated her?" I ask.

"Yes." He answers.

"Is that why she doesn't like the Styles family?" I ask once it comes to mind.

"Yes." He tells me. Relief comes over me a little by his answer. I don't know why but I feel this way.

"Why did you and Anne break up?" I ask curiously. It's fucking weird to think that my Dad and Harry's Mom were once a couple. It's actually disturbing to think about.
