Harry POV

It's around six now and I just made all of my siblings their dinner for the night. We don't really have a lot of food left in the house because "we haven't had the time" to food shop, so dinner consisted of mac and cheese and chicken nuggets.

Whenever my parents say to me "we don't have time to get food" or "we don't have time to get school supplies" always means, "we have no money". So, when tomorrow I work, I have to make more tips, and pick up more hours to get food to feed the four kids my mother birthed.

Don't even get me started on the fact that in total my parents have seven kids.

"Why are we having mac and cheese again?" Evan asks me with a tilted head. He's only six and doesn't understand the fact that we're the definition of poor.

"Because everyone likes it," I come up with while stirring the cooking noodles.

"It's because we have no money," Chris buts in with an annoyed voice. I roll my eyes at his answer and sigh.

"So?" Evan says with furrowed eyebrows.

"You're so stupid," Chris mumbles, but loud enough for everyone to hear.

"That's not nice," Alyssa says while looking to her brother.

"Who cares? Go back to twinkle land where you belong," He snaps back. His brown eyes roll back and he leans back in his chair he's seated in.

"Go to your room Chris," I say, butting in once he's gotten on my nerves.

"Why? I might miss the mac and cheese," My brother says sarcastically. Evan still looks confused and Alyssa looks annoyed.

"I'll give you till three," I say through a plain look and narrowed eyes. He rolls his eyes at me and slides off of his chair and walks upstairs.

"He's a bully," Alyssa remarks with crossed arms. Her small feet swing back and forth, but her eyebrows are furrowed down.

"Don't mind him," I murmur.

"Am I really stupid?" My six year old brother asks.

"No," I say. "You're just too young to understand what's going on."

I share a room with Evan. Alyssa shares a room with Lola. And Chris has his own room but when our brother, Tyler is home, he sleeps in there on the spare bed. Chris's room was my room, because my parents felt back that I'm always surrounded by little kids. And they thought me having my own room would be the prize for all of that.

But, I gave it to Chris, because he's a pain in the ass and likes to pick on Evan when he's annoyed or mad. Plus, if him having his own room means he won't bother the rest of us, I'm okay with that.

I put the Mac and Cheese into the bowls for the two of them that are left. I put Chris's in the fridge and give Lola her carrots and chicken nuggets that she likes to eat.

"Hazza, you didn't get any," Alyssa comments with a frown.

"I'll be fine," I say with a faint smile. I start cleaning the pots and dirty dishes in the sink while I'm in here. I ignore the grumbling sound my stomach has been making since yesterday.
