- Feliks' POV -

"I can't believe we're actually doing this," I groaned in annoyance, "I was hoping to relax tonight for once,"

"Can you shut up?" Yao said as he glared at me.

"For once, I agree with the human," Natalia commented, "Everyone knows the plan, right?"

We all nodded as we finally parked the van in the middle of the street. I looked out the window to see the giant building, where the CCG held ghouls prisoners. I gulped at the thought of being trapped there and starved.

Eduard kept staring onto the computer screen, "Alright, the security system is turned off so there is no alarms or cameras. There is only two guards in the entrance and Yao has the keys and can lead us to a different entrance from the back so the guards will not be a problem,"

Yao opened the door and jumped out of the van. I followed him and turned back, "Come on, Toris,"

Toris shook his head, "I'm not going. Natalia and I agreed that it would be too risky to have two ghouls sneak in,"

"So what? We will be gaining another ghoul on the way back," I argued.

"Big brother would not like you questioning us," Natalia said as she glared at me, "I'm sure you can last a minute or two without Toris. Now go,"

I glanced at her for a while and then shut the door. Yao smirked and shook his head as he started making his way to the building.

"What's so funny, Yao?"

Yao scoffed before responding, "You're way too clingy,"

I raised an eyebrow, "What is that suppose to mean?"

"I mean that you're annoying as hell," the older man said as we got closer, "You must have noticed that by now,"

"Rude," I glare at him, "Some people just can't handle me,"

"And I'm sure your boyfriend does?"

"My what?" My eyes widen slightly, "Toris? Pft, what? Like, obviously no. Why would we..."

Yao ignored me and focused on the fence in front of us. He scanned through it until he finally stopped at one part and was easily able to remove. He walked right through and I followed. I felt myself shiver as I remembered that we were in CCG territory. Yao continued to sneak around to the back entrance of the giant building, where the guards couldn't see us.

"Anyways, as I was saying, Toris and I are not dating," I continued the conversation, "Just to be clear,"

Yao rolled his eyes and turned to face me, "Like I said. Super clingy, aren't you? And correct me if I'm wrong, but I think jealous would also fit in that little dense mind of yours,"

"Jealous?!" I exclaimed.

"Shush!" Yao hissed, "Aiya, you ghouls have no sense of what dangerous means,"

He turned on the light switch, which now lit the corridor. Not making much of a difference but now we were able to see what was in front of us. Yao led the way, through the row of cells. Mostly empty, but I held my breath as I noticed some ghouls trapped in a few. I looked up to see there were stairs, and more floors full of more cells, waiting to hold ghouls captive.

I shook away the shivers I had left and returned to focus on Yao, "Like, what would I be jealous of? I have a great life,"

Yao groaned, "We're in a middle of a mission that could get us killed if we are not stealthy enough and I do not feel like being exposed as a traitor because you won't shut up about your love life,"

I chuckled and glanced away, "You're too serious. You're starting to sound like Natalia and that's not a good thing at all,"

I paused for a second and then looked up, "Wait, do you think I'm, like, jealous of Natalia? Why would I want to be like that pissy princess? Are you kidding me?"

"No, I actually prefer you than her," Yao stifled a laugh and smiled, "First time I met her and she's a brat. I don't know how Ivan deals with her,"

It was my turn to smirk at Yao, "So you two are on first name bias now, huh?"

Yao slowly turned to me and glared, "Don't even start play that game with me, you filthy ghoul,"

I raised my hands up in defense, "No, you're right. It's too soon. I'll give it some time,"

"You're a child," Yao spatted. I noticed his face turned slightly red. Not sure if it was from anger or embarrassment. He calmed down and stopped in front of a cell, "This is it,"

The cell wasn't like the other one. It had a metal door and a small window. Yao took his keys and opened it to reveal a the actual cell with metal bars. Inside, there was the scrawny little boy we were looking for.

"Ravis," I shouted.

The boy slowly opened his eyes and then blinked, "Feliks?"

He tried to stand up, but the chains attached to his arms and legs didn't allow him to.

"W-what are you doing here?..."

"Braginsky ordered us to take you out of here," Yao responded.

Ravis stared at us in confusion, "I thought he would deem me as a traitor..."

"It's not a rescue mission, idiot. It's so you don't rat out anything else,"

Ravis trembled and looked down. Yao opened the cell and started to unlock the chains.

"He's going to kill me..." He whispered, almost whimpering.

Yao glanced up to him, "No, he won't,"

Ravis' eyes started to water and looked into Yao's, "Why wouldn't he? He's terrifying. Even more than Katyusha was,"

Yao looked down, focusing on the chains. I saw him smile slightly, "I've seen scarier,"

The chains became unlocked and Ravis gripped his bruised wrists. He stood up slowly, wobbling due to all the time he had to sit in the cell. I walked up to him and let him lean on me, "Glad to see you're still kicking, kid,"

Ravis yawned and blinked slowly, "Hungry...". I could tell he was starved and weak. It disgust me the state the CCG left him in. I knew Ravis since he joined and trained him. Toris, Eduard, and I were worried sick when he didn't came back.

Instead of keeping him awake, I carried him on my back, careful of holding his bruised legs tightly, "Alright, let's go,"

I heard Yao sigh as he watched Ravis breathe softly. It wasn't hard to guess he was thinking of his own brother. Or the others he had lost, "Right,"

We started to head out as quickly as we could and I hoped Yao was right about Ravis getting some Mercy.
