There was a moment of silence until Violetta whispered, "Please don't be mad. But I actually closed my eyes and then when I opened them, I imagined Federico and obviously I didn't want to kiss him so I backed away. I'm sorry."

For a while, Leon just lied there. Violetta got scared so she asked him, "Are you annoyed?"

"No, not at all. I am just thinking. Don't worry, like we said, things happen that you can't help. I just have something to ask and I want you to be 100% honest with me. Do you love Federico?"

"Yes, but only as if he was my brother. I don't love him like I love you. He isn't someone I want to be with, only you. You're the one I fell in love with. Leon sighed with relief, "I'm so happy to hear that. I love you too and I promise never to leave you alone."
