Luke sat dressed in a suit as Mason sat in his lap, Luke holding on to him tightly. Luke stared out of the window as the car rolled around in to the cemetery, Luke could see people entering the church, there was so many people there.

When the car pulled up and stopped, Luke opened the door and let Mason out first before helping Charlotte out of the car. Luke looked over the car to his parents, Luke's mother giving him a reassuring smile.

Luke held each of his children's hands as he walked in to the church, he walked past everyone to the front row, sitting. Luke straightened out his tie before turning around and watching his dad greet people for him, Andy had offered to do it, he knew Luke wouldn't be able to.

Then Luke saw someone who shouldn't be here. Luke clenched his jaw and leant down to his kids, "I'll be back in a second." Luke said softly, "don't move." Luke stood up just as Liz got to him, "look after them for a second please."

Liz nodded and took his seat, Luke then walked down the aisle and stopped in front of someone. "I need you to leave." Luke said to Reece's mother.

She stared up at him, "no—"

"Yes." Luke raised his voice, "you leave right now."

Then Ashton was by Luke's side, "Iris, get up." Ashton said, placing his hand on Luke's back. "You don't deserve to be here."

"He's my son—"

"No he's not!" Luke yelled, "he wasn't your son as soon as you testified against him, when you didn't let him go to his sister funeral. He's never going to be your son again!"

Iris stood up and put her bag over her shoulder, "fine." She muttered, Luke stepped away from her and headed back to his seat as she left. Luke felt people staring but he knew they would have agreed. Luke sat back next to Mason, and smiled small at the little boy. "You okay bud?"

"Who did you yell at?" He asked.

"Your grandma," Luke answered, "your dad didn't like her, she doesn't need to be here." Mason nodded and leant his head against Luke's arm.

The priest entered and walked up the aisle, stopping at Luke, "I'm sorry for your loss Mr Grean." He said, giving Luke a small smile.

"Thank you." Luke said before the priest made his way to the stand. A few feet to his right was Reece's ashes, Luke stared at them for a few second before looking back at the priest.

"We are gathered here to say farewell to Reece Dylan Grean and to commit him into the hands of God." The priest started.

Luke remember Reece wanted a religious funeral because he did believe in God in some ways. Luke's whole family was catholic after all too.

Luke tuned out until he heard his name, and he looked up, realising he was supposed to talk now. Luke stood up, and pulled out the piece of paper he had, it was covered in scribbled out lines and coffee stains. Luke didn't know what to say. Luke went up the two steps and stood behind the stand, flattening out the piece of paper against it.

Luke looked across the room, seeing people who knew Reece closely as well as associates of other gangs. Reece's grandma was even there. Luke gulped and looked down at the paper, "I-uh, I met Reece in a weird way, and we fell in love in a weird way."

Luke then folded up the piece of paper and stuffed it in his pocket, wiping his eyes and sniffling. "Once he said he refused to die for me," Luke let out a short laugh, "he was in a rage when he said it, but we both knew he would, and he did. He took a bullet for me, he saved our kids, he did everything he could for us three." Luke bit his lip, looking down at his body, "well four soon I guess."
