Twisted Wings

Twisted wings became the aftermath of a pyrrhic victory,
Demons hid in their eyes,
Shadows of their loss,
Oh!
The torture they must've endured,
The scars cover the saints,
Conviction warped them into sinners,
Poor soul who's wings did once take flight,
Oh!
At last the crows call shook them,
Burned feathers falling from the twisted wings of fallen soldiers.
