It Ended With A Lie

Chapter 11

"Why isn't she marrying you then?", she asked.

"I'm sorry if I am intruding or anything, you don't have to tell me", she said.

"I love her", I said.

"What?", she said.

"What did you just say?", Braelyn asked.

"I said I love the store, it has good clothing choices", I said lying smoothly.

"Oh", she said.

"Well, how is it?", Braelyn said.

She spun around once showing us how she looked.

"You look beautiful", I said truthfully.

She blushed.

I made her blush.

(The dress Ridge chose for Braelyn)

I feel like a high school girl who is happy over her crush smiling at her.

Why wouldn't I, I would do anything to make her blush, smile, and laugh.

She is going to be the death of me she is freaking beautiful.

"Yes, you do! you look gorgeous", Katherine said.

"Really?", she asked.

She has no idea how beautiful she looks in the dress, she always looks beautiful.

"Oh god it's so expensive though, I don't-", she stopped she was at loss for words.

"Just take it, I am pretty sure the Remmington guy will want you to buy it anyway", I said.

She nodded and went back into the room.

I look over at Katherine and she furrowed her eyebrows.

"I lost her", I said.

"I messed up, and there is nothing I can do she doesn't love me anymore and more importantly. She is happy, the guy she is with makes her happy and he won't hurt her the way I did. He is Jake Remmington after all I can't compete with him", I said.

I don't know why I am telling her this but I want to let it all go.

"Wait... Jake Remmington?", she asked confused.

"Why do you know him?", I asked.

"She is getting married to... Jake Remmington", she said with her eyes wide.

"Yea, why?", I asked her.

Why is she shocked and more importantly why does she look scared.

"I-I go-ot t-to g-go", she said.

"One more thing, whatever may had happened to you too, you should still fight for her. No m-matter what happens don't give up on her. I could tell you love her and she loves you but you need to make her realize that"

" She will be better off with you, she will be happier with you just trust me. Just pay close attention to her does she get affected when you are there? Just don't give up ", she said and walked away.

She loves me still?

She's right I shouldn't give up on her... but she is happy.

Wait, why did she get scared when I mentioned that Remmington guy?

"Why aren't you coming off ugh", I heard Braelyn yelling out.

I walk over to the room.

"Can someone help me, Katherine", Braelyn yelled out.

"She isn't here do you need something", I said while looking at the door.

"Uh- no thanks it's just the zipper I'll manage", she said.

I decided to listen to her and I waited for five minutes and I couldn't deal with it anymore I opened the door.

Why didn't she lock it, what if someone else came in?

"Wh-what are you do-oing", she said while her back was facing the wall.

I walked closer to her and her breathing hitched.

She brought her face up and they were once cm apart from my own.

My body was so close to touching hers but I restrained myself knowing she was engaged.

I brought my hands around her waist and brought her closer to me. I could feel her breathing getting faster and faster.

I could feel her heartbeat against my chest she still has the effect on my touch.

She still does, I still have a chance.

I bring my hand up the zipper and bring it down slowly while looking into her eyes.

I could see how vulnerable she is right now she tries to stop me but gives up.

I want her to feel what I feel about her. I want her to know that I never stopped loving her how she is important in my life.

Once the zipper went down I touch her bare waist and bring her closer to me.

She closed her eyes and a tear came down.

I let go, why was she crying? Did I hurt her?

"I don't want you to do this, please stop messing with me", she said softly.

"I'm not messing with you", I said.

I don't know what to do anymore I can't give her up I am too selfish.

I am trying I really am but I just can't let her go, no matter how many times I tell myself my heart just won't listen.

"Then what are you doing", she asked while her eyes were tearing up.

"I could say the same about you", I said.

"What are you talking about?", she said confused.

I brought her hand right on top of my heart.

She looked up at me with teary eyes which broke my heart.

I can't be happy about her relationship with another guy other than.

No matter how much I try to keep it in, I can't do it anymore.

I want her to be with me and only me, not with anyone other than me.

She is mine, Katherine's right I have to fight for her no matter what happens.

"What are you doing to me"

A tear fell down my cheek I didn't make any attempt wiping the tear away, I tried to keep it in I can't anymore.
