Braelyn's POV

The lights in the theater turn off in a swift moment and I face forward as the movie started. My heart was beating insanely fast. Why am I acting this way? I'm overthinking. I look at my friends only to find them already staring at me. From the looks, they saw and heard everything. I set down the tray besides me and the boy slowly so that I wouldn't catch his attention but I did. He turned his head towards me and I looked back at the screen but regretted it. I yelped, hid beneath my blanket as my friends laughed.

That shit caught me off guard I wasn't expecting that. I move the blanket from the ride side making sure that I could only see my friends. They were watching the movie, looks like I'll kick their ass after the movie is finished. I ate and glared at the screen wishing that the people within it can die and by the end of the movie they did. That's what you get Kennedy for scaring the shit out of me. Throughout the movie there were a couple of jump scares that didn't scare me but my friends did. Especially, when they laughed it creep the shit out of me.

I got up from my seat only to sit back down because both of my legs had fallen asleep. Sighing,I grabbed the tray and put everything in it. I forced myself to stand up and the theater lights finally turned on. I move my head to the side a little and said, "Thank you." His attention was on me now but I grabbed my bag and moved around, grabbing my stuff. I knew that I could hide myself beneath my these glasses but it was worth a shot.

"It's alright," he said. I held my purse tightly in my hand feeling the unwanted chills again. My hand slightly shook as I grabbed my phone. What is wrong with me?  I thought. I turned around grabbing my blanket and his back was faced against me.

"You coming?" Ronnie asked. The man in front me was going to turn around, but I turned around before he could.  I nod and we made our way out of the theater; I let go an unwanted breath that I had held in.

"Are you okay?" Julie asked.

"Yeah, so what's the plan?" I asked.

"Want to go eat dinner?" Ronnie asked.

"Yes, I'm starving," Julie said and I nodded.  Once we walked out of the theater the wind breezed through my body pushing me back. It was raining really hard, we stood in front of the theater hoping that it would slow down.

"This is why I checked the whether today and brought this bad boy with me," she whips our her umbrella from her purse.

"I'll go get your car, Ronnie," Julie said. Ronnie sighed and gave her car keys. Julie quickly ran towards Ronnie's car making us both laugh at the way she ran. My laugh died down when I heard a person laugh. I suddenly felt uncomfortable and it seems like the air shifted as well. My heartbeat was beating really fast, I look around, searching for something that I didn't know. My eyes caught the sight of the boy who sat next to me at the theater. His back was facing towards me as he talked to the person next to him.

I forcefully looked away, my breathes were long buy yet short. His laugh echoed in my ear and I shook my head trying to brush it off but it wouldn't go away. I need to leave.

"Where are you going?" Ronnie asked.

"I'm going to go to the car, Julie's taking to long," I said and Ronnie nodded hesitantly. We both walked towards her car and the rain that was pouring harshly was now gone. We barely got wet due to the sun rushing it's way to the sky. The sun was shining brightly as if it didn't rain at all. I opened the back of the car door and sat down without saying.

I could not help but think about that boy, even though I didn't want to.
