Warning: Major plot twists. Btw I thought of it on the spot so hopefully I don't have any loop holes LOL

Braeyln's POV

The sound of the trigger echoed through the room. My eyes slightly widened in shock and gasped for air. My knees gave out and I fell down to my knees as I felt the bullet seep through my skin. It felt like a bulldozer hit my arm; I looked up to see Jake smiling at me. If he didn't shoot me then who did? My vision had gone blurry; I attempted to keep my eyes open but couldn't.

Ridge tried to come closer to me but Jake had stopped him. I watched him struggle under his hold. Grady and Lee tried to come towards me but had stopped when the long gun was facing their way. I couldn't see the person that was holding the gun but from my peripheral vision I could see that it was really long.

"If anyone moves I'll shoot them," someone said. My eyes widened and I looked up at Ridge and his were as well. He stopped struggling as he stared at the person standing behind me. I tried to move towards my side so that I could see who the person was because I didn't want to believe that it was him. I struggled to move; I found myself falling down on my knees due to the lack of strength.

"W-what...why?" Ridge stuttered out. I watched him as he stared at the person behind me in disbelief. His eyes teared up as he looked at me and then back at the person behind me.

"Aw, now don't be sad Ridge," a girl this time said behind me. I shut my eyes tightly but how could that happen? It can't be. No, please no this can't be happening. I took a deep breath trying to ease out the pain from the bullet and shock. Why didn't I see this coming?

"Braelyn, are you okay?" She asked sarcastically. Her heels clicked against the ground as she walked closer towards me. My breathing slightly got heavier. I shook my head back and forth in denial. It isn't her this is all a dream. I opened my eyes when I couldn't hear her footsteps anymore. From my peripheral vision; I could see her standing right next to me. I heard her chuckle and she bent down slightly.

I heard another pair of footsteps making their way towards me, "Are you hurt?" She asked. My eyes widened, her too? She stood beside me and I didn't make any move to look up at her. I couldn't and I didn't have the courage to. I couldn't feel the pain in my arm anymore; I felt numb. The bullet in my arm was nothing compared to what my heart was going through right now.

She bent down slightly and grabbed my hair making me hiss in pain. "Julie, come on be gentle," Ronnie said while snickering.

Julie laughed darkly and pulled at my hair once again and said, "Don't worry, I'll make sure Braelyn doesn't get hurt at all after all she is delicate. Jake and Ryan, why don't you help your friend, Ridge, he seems to be in shock."

I looked at Ridge and he looked at his best friends in disbelief. How could they do this to us? Not only my friends betrayed him as well but why would they do that?

"How could you do this to me? After everything? What did I do? I've always been there for the both of you and I don't think I've hurt any of you in any way. In fact, you both were there for me at my worst. Was that all-" I stopped midway realizing something. I look up at the both of them in shock.

I picked up the paper that was on the ground. It looked new and fresh. On the top of the paper it said, "Now Hiring." My eyes brightened. This must be a sign. I applied to multiple companies to a as

A girl grabbed the paper from my hand and she sighed, "Thank you, I thought I lost this," the girl said.

She smiled and said, "Hi, I'm Ronnie. I really need a job and the diner is finally hiring a lot of people. If you're looking for a job I suggest you grab this one before someone else does," she said.

"How do you know that I need a job?" I asked her.

"When you picked the paper you seemed quite happy so I just assumed," she said. I nodded and smiled. I really needed the job.

"Lead the way," I said. With that we both made our way inside the restaurant.

"Did you figure it out?" Ronnie asked while raising her eyebrows at me.

"You planned all of this," I found myself saying. I looked at Ronnie and Julie and they cracked a smile, "Ding, ding, ding, after so many years now you figure it out. We even gave you clues but you're too oblivious to even realize," she said.

"Oh hi, are you two applying here as well?" The girl asked.

She slapped her forehead and said, "Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce myself I'm Julie." I smiled at her and she seemed quite nice. Maybe things were gonna get better after all.

"You didn't want me to remember. You two manipulated me this whole entire time but why would you do this to me. Ridge might not remember you but I do. Your name is not Ronnie," I said.

"Who are you?" Ridge asked, confused. She chuckled and took a couple steps forward towards Ridge and asked, "Don't you remember me baby?"

"Haddie?" He questioned.

a/n: Haddie is the crazy girl he met in college who was obsessed with him. (look back at chapter 18/19 or before than not sure)
