Without breaking eye contact with my ex I said, "It was the day Jake escaped from prison and stole a missing car... isn't that right Jake?"

*~*

Braeyln's POV

He maintained eye contact with me and a smirk made its way on my face. I remember it all now and I could tell that he didn't see that coming.

"What's wrong Jake? Cat got your tongue?" I asked.

"What are you talking about?" Julie asked slowly. I looked at her and said, "Why don't you search his name up?" That's when Jake moves a little, gotcha, finally got him where I wanted.

"I know what you're trying to do?" Jake asked slightly angrily. Failing to hide his feelings. I smiled at him innocently and asked, "What am I trying to do?"

He glared at me and before he could respond Ridge was the first one to speak up, "Gang leader Jake Remington escapes prison..."

Ryder stopped talking and looked up and stared at Jake who had his jaw hardened. I let out a small laugh and said, "You didn't think I was going to let you get away with this now did you? Oh and thanks for helping me regain my memories. Now, let me tell you all that really happened that day.

Jake stole Ridges's car after he escaped from prison. You might think that he might have only remembered our house address so that's why he stole it. Well, you're wrong, he knew exactly what he was doing. He stole his car and crashed it into your wife's purposely. He planned it all.

He made sure that you didn't go to the cops right away so that he could do his plan. He wanted you all to be a part of the plan so that you guys could do the deed. You all were his puppets and he made sure of it. After he killed his wife, he 'flew in' and 'met his cousin Jake.' He acted as he cared about you but in reality, he didn't.

He made sure that his cousin, you-" I pointed at Jake, "would trust him enough to tell him everything and when you did. He moved on with his plan accordingly. He lured you in and said that he had a plan in which you can all get back in. That was by 'crashing his car' and making it look like he committed suicide. You got Xavier to defend the case, leaving him with no choice because you threatened him that you'd kill his wife and kids.

The person in the car wasn't Ridge, in fact, he had switched the body before the 'accident' had happened. He replaced it with Ridge and Lee's father. Who he had also killed. The cops were in on this as well, they had told us there was a small accident during the trip but there was no accident it was all just a cover-up.

After that, you took Ridge, and not sure what you did but he lost his memory. You used that to your advantage and fabricated his past and hired parents so that he could believe that's who he was. In reality, you had killed Ridge Harrington and replaced it with my Ridge. The parents that you hired were Ridge Harrington's parents but you had threatened them that if they hadn't faked it then you'd killed them. So they stayed quiet because they knew that the cop was in on it with you as well.

Game over, Jake, there's nothing you can do now." I said while smirking, after that speech I realized that I didn't have much blood left in my system. The sound of the door being opened made me smile even more even though I felt weak.

"Put your hands above your head to where we can see them," the cop said and he complied while laughing.

"And that makes you any better? You know what you did Braelyn, don't you remember?" He asked. I stared at him confused as to what he was talking about but then the realization hit me. My face paled as I stared at him laugh like a maniac. How could I forget? He maintained eye contact with me the entire time, even when the cop had pushed him down to the ground and grabbed his arms, and placed them behind his back.

I looked down at the pool of blood that surrounded me as I heard him laugh. I felt dizzy and saw stars around me.

How could I forget?

My surroundings darkened and I sighed feeling my heartbeat slowing down.  I felt my eyes flutter close as my body dropped to the ground.

And maybe this time

I wouldn't wake up.
