Braeyln's POV

His eyes met mine and I couldn't look away. My head pounded, giving me a headache while he seemed fine. I let go of the jacket, allowing the warmth to finally cave in. He seemed so familiar, it's like we met before but I can't seem to recognize him. My mouth had gone dry, I wanted to say something but I couldn't. I stared at him for what seemed like forever; his eyes put me at ease and it was weird. Did we know each other before I lost my memories?

I stared at him closely but it looked like he didn't recognize me. Normally, people would hug them or greet them if they were close but he sat there and stared at me. His presence made me all hazy and it was driving me insane. He wore a tight white shirt with two of his buttons opened along with tight maroon pants. His beard must have been freshly shaven from the looks. His hair was messy but presentable in a good way. He stared at me through his thick eyelashes with his hands pressed against the side of the chairs.I must be attracted to this man otherwise why would I be behaving this way. I shook these thoughts away and coughed lightly. Shifting in my seat I give him a small smile.

"Braeyln Sawyer," the way he rolled my name off of his tongue made me shudder. The small headache that I once had was now pounding harshly leaving me in distress. I needed to get a grip but everything about him screamed stare at me.The longer I stared at him the harder it was for me to focus. I needed the job; I shouldn't be thinking about this.

"What makes you a good PA?" He asked by breaking the ice.

"I'm organized and professional. I am positive in the work area and if I am put in a situation where we need to solve it within a couple of minutes. I will work diligently and solve the problem. I can work under-pressure and multi-task.I take my job seriously and do things when they need to be done. I can do a plan and have everything ready when it has to be," I said confidently.

"If you don't agree with something that I do and it will put my business in harm what would you do?" He asked.

"I'd state my opinion and if the decision that you want to make will cause harm to the company. I'll tell you but the choice would be yours at the end of the day whether you want to listen to me or not," I said. I wasn't sure if the meeting was going good or not because he wasn't showing any emotions.

"In my file, it says you have a degree in business and math but from the age of twenty-three until the age of twenty-six there is nothing. Then at the age of twenty-seven you had gotten a diner job. Why is that?" He asked. My headache pounded bringing back the memories that never existed. I tried to say something but nothing came out. He noticed my reaction and continued on with the questions.

"Where do you see yourself in five years?" He continued.

"I-I..." I couldn't tell him that I had lost my memory. I grabbed my thigh harshly trying to calm myself. I should've thought about this beforehand because now I won't get this job.

"Next question..." the headache that pounded made it hard for me to see. I tried to calm myself down internally but I couldn't. My hands were shaking leaving my palms sweaty, my heartbeat was racing fast, and my body was both hot and cold. I was having a panic attack. I let go of my thigh and stood up abruptly catching him off guard.

"S-sorry, h-have to g-go." I grabbed my bag and phone quickly and held onto my head tightly stopping in my tracks. The man with the green eyes stood by my side telling me to calm down but it only got worse.

A boy caressed a girl's cheek holding her close by his side as she laid her head onto his broad chest. He kissed her forehead and whispered something in her ear making her laugh as they looked up at the stars.

The man touched my hand and the same sparks that I felt from the restaurant came shocking me. The man shuddered under my hand as I held onto his hand tightly.

"Where do you see yourself in five years?" The boy asked. The girl hummed and looked at the boy and said, "In your arms." The boy blushed and hugged the girl closer to him.

His arm wrapped around my shoulder lightly setting me down on the couch. He felt it, each time he touched me, heat would rush my body warming me. He let me go and I watched him walk back towards his seat. He called someone on the phone, and I wiped the tears away from my face. What was that? Was that a memory? There were so many unanswered questions making me frustrated. Why do I have to ruin everything for myself. There's no point sitting here knowing that I had lost all my chances as to getting this job.

Once my breathing got back to normal a person knocked on the door. The man with the green eyes grabbed the cup of water from someone and put it against my lips. He made sure not to touch me. He helped me drink the water, which managed to calm me down.

"How are you feeling now?" He asked. I nodded and stood up on my feet, still uneasy. I should go.

"Cancel the rest of the interviews; I already found my personal assistant." The man stood up and stared at me without breaking eye contact.

"Okay, sir." With that he motioned her that she could leave. I looked at him weirdly as to why he'd do that. Why would he want me to be his assistant after what had just happened.

"Welcome, Ms. Sawyer to Harrington's Enterprise," he said. I realized that I still didn't know his name. It may be unprofessional but I didn't know about this job until this morning.

"I'm Ridge Harrington."
