"Mr. Fayne?" I look up. "Hi I'm Nurse Holyfield." She shakes my hand. "H-How is she?" I say. Tears are still falling. "She's lucky. Very lucky. Normally, when a person gets hit by a car that's traveling at that speed, they might get brain damage or immediate death."

"Is she going to be ok?" I ask. "Well, she might struggle with some words here and there, and her behavior might shift from time to time. But over all she will be fine. She hasn't woken up yet from the coma, but she should in a couple of days to weeks."

"Days to weeks!? " "I know, but there is a possibility that she might wake up earlier than that." She puts her hand on my shoulder. "She will be ok. She's a trooper. I've seen her records. She recovers very well." I wipe a tear from my cheek.

"Do you want to see her?" "Can I?" "Of course! I'm pretty sure that she wants you to be the first person she sees when she wakes up." "I doubt it." I mumble under my breath. "How do you mean?"

"Long story." "Her room is on the Tenth floor." "Well, long story short, me and this girl used to date. She drained my accounts and made me broke. I broke up with her and she told Brielle that she's pregnant with my baby." I finish as we get on the ninth floor.

"Wow. So, Brielle got mad ran out the house and a car hit her?" "Yes." "Oh." There's an awkward silence. We get out the elevator at the tenth floor and I  follow the nurse to Brielle's room. I hope she's not mad at me anymore.

I walk in the room and I see her in the bed still in a coma. "I am so sorry." I kiss her forehead and sit down on a chair next to the bed.

I hold her hand. "Look Brielle, I know you probably hate me, and right now I don't blame you. I bet you are so confused and angry. First I tell you that I don't love you then Beanca comes and shows you an ultrasound of our baby."

I wipe a tear from my eye. "But that's just that, it's not my baby. I don't know how she did that, but all I know is that it can't be my baby because I never had sex with her." I wipe another tear.

"Seeing you g-g-get r-ran over by that car, I-I finally realized my feelings for you. I realized that I wouldn't be crying this much if I didn't care about you. Then I also realized that I don't just care about you, I love you Brielle." I squeeze her hand as I cry harder.

"I love you so fucking much. You meant the world to me. I promise I'll be a better boyfriend or partner or whatever you need. I will give you anything and everything you want. I just need you to do one thing. Please, wake up." I cry even harder.

Once I finally got myself together, I continued. "Well, I guess I should go. I bet I'm the last person you wanna see right now considering everything." I stand up an kiss her. I try to walk away but something held me back.

I turn around and realize that I'm still holding her hand. I let go of her hand and walk to the door.  "A-a-andy? Is that you?" I stood there frozen.
