Laid out on the table, it spreads out fully to each corner. Glain sets a new candle neatly on top and gently smooths the map out.

"After they left, I found this." Glain replies. You look at him, a little confused. "Relgin, he was talking to someone, and it.. seemed kind of important."

He pauses for a few seconds. "I found this in the library after they left. It was carefully hidden."

"A map?" You say as you look down at it.

In front of you lays a map of Middle Earth. Dwarves hadn't had maps like these in quite some time.

It made sense to you since Dwarves mostly cared about gold and fine minerals. Leaving the caves was pointless for them. Except, that was the only thing you wanted to do. Even you as a Dwarf didn't exactly care for valuables. "Are you sure it was them that left the map?" You ask.

"I'm pretty positive, but who knows. It could be possible it was someone else." He clears his throat.

"And We haven't had maps like these in years, but with the Dark Years beginning, I wasn't so sure if.." He pauses a brief moment, and you step in, "You don't think this is a map from the Men of the West, do you?"

"Could be," He immediately says.

You look at the map, to see Erebor, the legendary mountain where Smog had lived. You see a place called Rivendell, The Shire, and something called Rohan. The map was large, showing much detail.

"Who do you think hid it there?" He looks up at you from the map, and you follow his gaze. "I believe it was Relgin. Although, it could have been anybody. Like I said, anything's possible."

Relgin. You thought. Yes, you had seen him yesterday!

"Glain, I saw Relgin yesterday in the Royal halls." You say putting the pieces together. "You don't think he was, I don't know.." You stop, and Glain finishes your sentence. "Speaking with King Odin?"

"He was close to the royal library, I passed him before going in myself." Glain's eyes widen. "You went into the Royal Library?!" He yells in shock, before quieting himself down and tilting his head warily to look at the door. "What were you doing going down the Royal Hall?"

"I was looking for Rathna, Economics class was cancelled. I talked to Odin and he seemed a.." You stop, looking for the right words.

Odin was acting kind of weird yesterday, what was he hiding?

"Off?" Glain replies. "Yes." You frown. "I didn't spend very long with the King, but he kept fiddling with something."

"What!? What was he fiddling with!" Glain asks desperately, still whispering. "I.. I- I don't know." You respond.

Glain lets out a sigh. "I'm sorry." You say as he rolls up the map. You hold the candle for him as he stuffs it into a pouch.

"(Y/N).." He begins, holding back his emotions. "I- I should be the one saying sorry."

He pulls a stone brick out of the wall before stuffing the pouch behind it and pushing the brick back into place as if nothing was hidden behind it.

He stands up from his kneeling position, looking into your eyes. "After all these years, I haven't spoken to you. It's just I-"

You stop him, hating the feelings you're getting. It had been a really long time since you had last seen him an all of a sudden you were talking to him again. "It's alright Glain, I wasn't exactly the one who tried talking to you either."

"I'll forgive you." You smile at him, "If you forgive me."

"Alright." He says, his grouchy voice overtaking. " She'd better be working hard." Harvol replies in his sickening voice. Harvol is the man over all the miners. He's the boss and he doesn't care if you have a few slivers.
