Why would I tell him "it might ruin our friendship" way to give that shit away. I was sitting in my room just overthinking literally everything. Today wasn't my day. I grab my phone dealing Austin's number. It rings until he picks up obviously.
"Wassup bitch!" he answers.
"I think I have a crush on Sam" I blurt. I needed to tell someone. And Austin's always there for me.

"Ya same... wait WHAT?" He yells what. I sigh. "You mean like, I like you kind of crush?" He asked.
"What other" I mutter.
"BITCH YESS!! Finally" he squeals.
"No Austin, also I'm never gonna tell him because it'll ruin our friendship" I reply.
"Hun, shut it. He likes you too" He says.
"No way, he's going out with that girl this weekend" I stare at the ceiling.
"Oh shit, that's why you said all that" he sighs. "Sorry babe."
"You didn't do anything. How do i make it go away?" I asked.

"When did you discover this?" He asked.
"Like this morning" I groan. "PLEASE HELP"
"I can't stop you from liking someone, sorry but I can't. Maybe you should just tell him. I'm sure keeping it from him the whole time will end up ruining the friendship even more" He tells me.
"I don't like rejection, especially from someone I like. And he's one of my super close friends Austin. He's right after you. I'll probably cry because we won't be friends anymore" I said.
"I'm telling you Jo, it's better to do it now. I've seen the way that guy treats you, looks at you, and talks about you. Believe me, he likes the shit out of you. BUT you are too dumb to even notice, maybe it'll stop him from his stupid date" He tells me. I sigh.
"Whatever, I'm hanging up" I mutter.
"Sorry for the truth, also thanks for telling me right away" I could hear the grin on his face.
"You're my best friend, obviously" I said. "Bye, love you."
"Love you bye" He replies and we hang up.

I throw my phone onto the bed with a sigh. No way I can tell him. What if he's like 'ew' or just completely is weirded out by me because of it. I don't have the strength to lose someone else.

"So, how's school been since you've been back?" My dad asks while we ate dinner.
"Alright" I shrug. "Dad how quick is too quick from recovering from a break up?" I asked moving my food around with my fork.
"I don't know, when me and your mom stopped things for a little... We were apart for like 3 weeks, still wasn't over it. But I guess it depends on the relationship, why do you like someone else?" He replied.
"No" I lie.
"Are you lying?" He asks.
"Yeah" I admit he chuckles.
"Well Dylan wasn't much anyways, so it doesn't matter" he shrugs I laugh.
"Him and Stella are a thing now" I tell him.
"Actually?" He looks at me in disbelief I nod. "You're better than him hunny" he says. "So who's the guy?"
"I don't know if I want to tell you, it's weird" I said. "Also, you're gonna react annoyingly."
"Hey, I will not" he says.
"You will" I roll my eyes with a laugh.
"Fine, ill wait till you start dating. Hopefully it's Sam" he says and I groan. We won't date but it is him.
  "Get over it" I sigh.

"Hey" Sam says when I get into his car tonight to go for our annual drive and coffee.
"Hey" I reply with a small yawn.
"Still not ready to tell me?" He asked.
"Don't bring it up and maybe I will" I look at him. He laughs.
"Fine, you kinda suck" he tells me.
"Thanks, you do to" I say.
  "Does Austin know?" He asked.
  "Dude!! Seriously?" I asked.
"Yes I wanna know" he groans.
"You aren't. Leave it or I'm not telling you ever" I laugh.
  "Okay! Okay!" He says.

We finally get to the place. We go in getting our coffees then continue our drive.
"So, you still haven't walked on the bridge have you?" I asked. "Unless there's a time I didn't know about."
"No I haven't" he shakes his head. Lights flash by as we drive.
"We have to do that! It's nice" I said.
"Yeah, it's probably a great experience" he mocks I roll my eyes.
"Never said that, but it is" I state.
"Just copying every white girl ever" he laughs. "Yeah, we should do it though."
  "Yeah, I said that didn't I?" I say.
"Oh fuck off" he laughs again.
"I can't, I've got better things to do" I grin.
  "Whatever."
