It's been almost a week since I've seen Ben. We've been talking very little since we saw each other last. I forgot how busy it got during the holidays. 

We went our separate ways for break, both spending time with our families. I went over Brian's for Christmas as usual, Roger and his family coming over. Jimmy, Rufus and I were awkward the whole night. We decided with Luke that we want to make it a grand announcement when we tell our families that we are forming a band. The only issue is we don't have a band name yet. 

There's a huge debate as to what name we want to go with. Luke wants to do something with royalty kind of like Queen. Jimmy and Rufus was to do a tribute to them, Jimmy suggesting naming our band after one of Queen's songs and Rufus suggesting something like Descendants or Tribute. I, on the other hand, have no idea what we should go with. 

I liked Rufus' name Descendants. I also liked where Luke was coming from. I thought the name Empress was cool, but I kept getting drawn back to Queen.

We could literally call ourselves Queen 2.0. I just don't think it would pan out well. But there is another option. 

"Hey Rufus," I say, throwing a pillow at him to wake him up. He jolts awake form his micro nap and gives me a wild expression. "I can't get Queen 2.0 out of my mind,"

"It's a lot of pressure, Aria," Rufus says. He groans loudly. 

"I agree," Luke interjects, looking disheveled as ever. "If we fail as a band we literally bring down the name Queen,"

I groan. "Let's just call it Under Pressure," I joke.  "Since it's 'so must pressure'," I add, mocking Rufus a little bit. 

"What about Second Generation?" Jimmy throws out. 

"Just call us Offspring why don't you," Luke laughs. I don't know why he finds this so funny, but he breaks out into a fit of laughter. Probably from exhaustion. We didn't picture spending the day before New Year's Eve coming up with a band name, and we definitely didn't expect to have this much difficulty with it. 

"Oh shut it," I mutter, although I feel a smile creeping on my face. "But in all seriousness what about the name Heirs?" It sounds very Queen-ish. Kind of like royalty.

This peaks the attention of the boys. 

"Has more of a ring to it than Descendants. Plus it's original," Rufus comments. He leans forward in his chair, a thoughtful expression on his face. 

"I like it," Jimmy says. "Because we've descended from the original Queen. We're heirs to the throne," 

"Exactly. It has a ring. It has meaning," I say. 

"Heirs," Luke says quietly. 

Jimmy, Rufus, Luke and I exchange a knowing look. My heart does a jump from excitement. It feels...right. 

"Does this mean we have a band name?" Jimmy asks. 

"I think it does," I say.

The four of us break out in huge grins. 

"We need champagne!" Luke yells, running into the kitchen. He had invited us over to his flat to discuss official band business, and by official band business I mean coming up with a name. Moments later, Luke returns with four glasses and a bottle of champagne. He pops the top and pours us each glass.

"To Heirs," Luke says, raising a glass. Rufus, Jimmy and I follow and we all clink glasses before taking a sip.

My phone begins to ring just as I take my sip. I chug the rest of my glass before fishing around in my pocket to answer it.

"Hello?" I answer, standing up and walking out of the room as to not disturb the boys. 

"Hi Ari!" I hear Ben's voice.

"Hi Ben," I say, a smile on my face. I miss him. 

"We are leaving tomorrow for New York!"

I laugh. "We are indeed. We're flying together right?"

"Yeah I bought our tickets and I will be by early tomorrow to pick you up," Ben says. 

I lean against the wall, my body feeling warm from the champagne I just downed. 

"I miss you," I say softly. 

"I miss you too Ari. More than you know," 

I thought after our night together last week that it would be awkward. I think it was just paranoia because I'm scared of not being good enough for him. I strive for my dad's confidence. I can fake it and I can find it sometimes in myself, but I struggle to use it daily. Ben's constant reassurance and love really helps my confidence. 

"Do we know how many people are going to the party?" I ask.

"Not a lot. But I know Adam Lambert is coming and he said he's bringing friends so I don't know how many he's bringing," Ben laughs lightly. 

"It'll be fun," I hope so anyways. I hear a loud thud coming from the other room, followed by loud arguing. "I should go. I think someone broke something," I laugh.

"Okay, Ari. I'll text you when I'm leaving so you can be ready," Ben tells me.

"Okay," I say quietly.

"Before I go," Ben adds quickly. "did you decide on a name?"

I bite my lip and smile at the floor. "We did. It only took a couple hours," I tell him.

"Does this mean I can know?"

I can hear the eagerness in his voice. I want to tell him so badly, but I think we should make the announcement as much of a surprise as we can. I mean Ben already knows about the band, so he has a leg up on every one as it is. 

"It's a secret," I tell Ben. "But you'll know soon,"

Ben laughs. "Fair enough. I love you Aria,"

"I love you too Ben,"

We hang up. 

I feel like my life is becoming what it should be. Not that it wasn't what I wanted before, but now it's all coming together like a puzzle. I have my new family from Bohemian Rhapsody, the best boyfriend I could ask for, and now this amazing band. It's a big family reunion and I have a feeling that we're going to get a lot out of it. I don't know if we'll get major success but I think something good will come of it.

Y'ALL OKAY a big shoutout to everyone who suggested names for Queen 2.0. @PariseANDMinter I literally almost went after your suggestion for that, and I will still continue to use it as an unformal band name lol

@MadisonMihalic and @PopPop90 were close to what I wanted and I did love those ideas. 

@HashtagHurra and @AvadaKadavraBitch Love love loved this idea to name the band after a Queen song. I went through all the song names like 30 times lol

In the end @iconicliving suggested the tribute idea, and @1Dsavedmefromreality suggested the actual band name I went with so thank you so much <3
