Two months later

Aria

It's been a couple of weeks since Heirs released our first album. After the wedding, we finally had time to finalize everything and put the finishing touches on all of our songs. It came out exactly how we wanted it to and it was received well by the public.

We performed one of our singles on one of those talk shows, and then performed another single a week and a half later on a different television show. The hype was building for our album and when it finally dropped, it sold out across the country in about a day. Since then, it has been number 1 in the charts.

I still can't believe that Heirs actually came to fruition. It feels like yesterday when Rufus came to me with this crazy idea he had. Originally I thought he just wanted to form a band with me but little did I know he wanted it to be Queen 2.0. It seemed insane at the time. I didn't even know if logistically we'd be able to do it, but by some miracle and willpower we did and we did it well.

Our fans have been amazing so far. Every single one of them has been supportive of our work and they love the concept behind another Queen. Of course we aren't trying to replace Queen - that's not our intention at all. But we are trying to spread our same love of music and creativity. And of course its a bonus that we get to perform some of our parents songs as well.

I think that's what Dad meant in his note when he said "Heirs has the power to bring the past and the future together". We're bringing together so many different generations of Queen fans, while also forming our own. Our two worlds are colliding and it's cool to witness. People of different ages, race, sexuality, and gender are all coming together because of our music. It's a very powerful thing.

I sigh heavily, thinking about how much my life has changed. Looking around the room I'm in, I'm met with the faces of Rufus, Luke, Jimmy, Roger, and Brian. We had all gotten together in the hopes of having a 'band party', as Rog calls it. I wouldn't necessarily call it a party by any means, but it's refreshing to be with them all. We've just been discussing music and performing and everything else in between. I love Ben and my Bohemian Rhapsody family, but this is my other family that understands the musicality behind me.

"So when does your tour begin?" Brian asks from where he is sat on a red, velvet couch.

The lot of us decided to meet at Luke's house this time. Last time we were at mine and I believe the time before that Roger hosted us.

"Two weeks," Rufus says. "It's coming up fast,"

"It's going to be a lot," Roger says, seriously.

"Well don't scare them, Rog," Brian chuckles.

"I'm just being honest," Roger continues. He leans forward in a black, leather chair, resting his elbows on his knees. "It won't be easy and at times you're going to feel weak and exhausted. But I can promise you that it's going to be worth it,"

I take a deep breath. I can't lie and say I'm ready for this tour. I'm not, and I don't know if I ever will be. But this is our time and I refuse to sleep on the moment. Besides, I know Roger is right. I need to push all my nerves and worries away because this is what we were meant to do. The hard part is already over. We wrote the songs and put it together with the music and then went through all the legal troubles of releasing it. Now it's time to put on a show.

A knock at the door interrupts my thoughts. Luke huffs and reluctantly stands up from the chair he was sat in.

"I'll get it," he mutters, exiting the room.

"Did we order pizza?" Roger asks, laughing to himself.

"I wish. I'm hungry as hell," Jimmy comments.

"I could eat my shoe right now," Rufus mutters.

"I could eat your shoe right now..."

"Okay, no one is eating anyone's shoes," I say, grinning at the boys.

My grin quickly falters when Luke walks back in. I stand up abruptly, everyone else in the room following suit out of disbelief. Behind Luke trails a nervous looking John Deacon.

"Deaky," Brian breathes.

"I - I hope you don't mind. Luke had invited me and...it was time," he says, shifting on the balls of his feet. "I'm sorry I fell out. I know it's been years -"

"Shh," Brian hushes the man. He walks over to him and outstretches his arms, giving John a hug. "Do not apologize,"

Roger is quick to join and he gives John a hug after Brian.

For a second, the world has stopped turning and the last piece of the puzzle has finally fit into place. The three men talk quietly to each other, John's nerves visibly disappearing. He laughs at some Roger said, faint dimples appearing in his cheeks.

"I did a thing," Luke whispers, coming over to Rufus, Jimmy, and I who are just staring at the scene in front of us in disbelief.

"How'd you get him to come?" Rufus asks, quietly.

We had been inviting John to every 'band party' we had, but he had come up with an excuse for each one. He even avoided my wedding, although Luke claims he really was sick like he said.

"I dunno," Luke says. "I talked to him about it and maybe something just clicked,"

Jimmy sighs, heavily.

"I feel like I can finally go on tour now," he tells us, causing us to laugh.

"Me too," I say.

Everything is finally at peace and where it should be.

Everything is finally how it should be.
