I'd decided to give Oliver a second chance but I didn't wanted to go up to him to talk. So I'd decided to just treat him like he was new again. Without extra talking.

Allison had the idea to look through the bestiary with me since I was the only one who got a good look at the thing.

"So we thought that it could be the Hyacintho Lautus..." She said as she gave the book to me.

It looked like some sort of guy who could transform in a snake. His face looked very snake-like and he had the same fangs as a snake. It was true that he could be blue and that he was a bit tinier than normal men but I knew that this wasn't it.

"It's not the... Hyacinth eh...something. He wasn't snake-like at all." I said and saw Allison look confused. "Gimme." I said and got the bestiary.

I looked through the pages at the pictures. Some got close to what it had looked like but none of them were that thing. It wasn't until I reached page 87 that I found something worth translating.

"What about this thing? It looks like him." I said and showed it to Allison.

"Lorem ipsum..." she said.

"What?" I said confused. I'd heard that before.

"That's the name. We should get Lydia."

"Uh, sure." I said while frowning. Where had I heard that before?

~~**~~**~~**~~

Lydia immediately began to translate the page. As soon as she began, we knew that we had the right guy. The first few sentences were about the changing of his eye color.

It began to bug me that I'd heard the name before so I began to google it.

"What are you doing?" Allison asked me.

"I've heard Lorem ipsum before. I'm googling it."

I scrolled through a few pages before I ended up at wikipedia.

"Of course! That's how I know it." both Lydia and Allison looked up questionably. "It's uh... When you program a site, you usually want to see how it looks after you've put the text in. But most of the time you don't have any text you can place there. There is this Latin text called Lorem ipsum which is usually used to fill that space."

"Why not use a random text from the internet?" Allison asked.

"Because you'll get distracted by the content of the text."

"And you know this... how?" Lydia asked.

"I used to make sites. Still do."

Lydia went back on her computer and googled it. We got up and stood next to her. The first few sites were just a random text generator. This continued until we found one site with the original text on it.

"It's all dutch." she stated.

"Let me read it."

She gave me her chair and I began to read. It was large text written in difficult to read dutch with very long sentences.

After five minutes of constant reading I heard Lydia complain behind me. "I thought you were dutch. Can't you read it?"

"Hey, this is the translation of a Latin text which was written in 45 BC. It's gonna take me some time to translate this into modern day Dutch and then to English, okay?"

About 15 minutes later I was done. "Well, it's basically about pleasure and suffering. About how people try to get pleasure and get rid of suffering and that you can only achieve true pleasure when you get rid of suffering, according to some people."

"So it could also be the other way around?" Allison said quietly.

"What?" I questioned.

Allison looked up like she hadn't expected anyone to hear her theory. "Oh uh... Well if you can achieve true pleasure by getting rid of all suffering... Then you would achieve true pain by getting rid of all pleasure. Maybe that's how he did it."

"That would make sense." I admitted. The text was written by a human so it only focused on the pleasure in stead of the suffering. But that thing could've easily done something like that... I think.

"There is another state." Lydia said after a few minutes.

"What?"

"The eyes. You've got normal green ones, orange for searching, poisonous purple ones and killing red."

"So maybe it wasn't trying to kill us last time. Maybe it was just trying to stop us."

~~**~~**~~**~~

We took the translated bestiary to Derek and Peter. They'd been in the supernatural world way longer than us so maybe they knew something more.

We were right.

As soon as we told them the name Lorem ipsum, they both looked at us with wide eyes.

"And you're sure?" Derek asked me.

"Yeah, why?"

"Because they've been dead for years."
