Liz sprang nimbly from my back and looked at the general direction of the two heartbeats. I pushed myself off the ground and walked to the door.

Emberly and Damien were both looking around until Damien saw me. He nudged Emberly who also looked up.

"Oh hi! Yeah, I know that we're 20 minutes early but honestly- Oh my god you're back." Emberly said on a very disbelieving tone and with her mouth wide open.

"Yeah... Hi." Liz replied as she walked in and stood next to me.

"Uh..." Damien said with his eyebrows knit together in confusion "I'm sorry but who are you?"

"I'm Liz-"

"Oh! You're the one Derek wouldn't shut up about! I've heard a lot about you."

Liz shuffled awkwardly as her eyes fell on me to determine if it was true. I just scratched my neck since I guess it could be true. I mean... I hadn't talked that much about her, right?

"Anyway... She's helping us train today."

"Yeah right." Emberly laughed "No offense but she doesn't really look strong... Or fit for that matter."

"She's the most dangerous person in this room." I defended her.

"Yeah right." Damien huffed "I'm gonna side with Emberly on this one. She does not look dangerous at all."

"From where I'm standing I could kill you in 7 different ways. 12 if I got that spoon" Liz stated simply and without changing her voice. She nodded to the empty bowl with her spoon still in it. (Assassin's creed unity quote)

Damien's eyes widened in fear and he threw his hands up in surrender. Emberly wasn't that convinced yet and said: "Suuure you can. How would you kill him?"

"Snap his neck, claw at his heart, slash his neck-"

"Okay! I got it. She's dangerous alright?" Damien cut of while looking very uneasy by the thought of his neck getting slashed open. "And she'll be the one to help us train?"

"I'm not gonna kill you." Liz said while rolling her eyes when she noticed him shuffling around.

"Good to know" he murmured.

The training went quite well. Damien had some extra motivation to train hard and Emberly didn't wanted to lag behind. Liz however was still tired even though she'd slept more than 10 hours. I tried to get her to stop and just rest but she wouldn't hear it.

When she was sparring with the others, I studied her again. The moves she made were no doubt well practiced but I'd never seen them before. Most werewolves have a certain way of fighting which is unique to each and every one of them but they all have some similarities.

For example some jump more than others and some put more force behind their claws. But they all know what they can count on: their claws, their teeth etc.

But Liz was neither. She fought as if her claws were knifes and didn't rely as much on them as the normal average werewolf would.

Something must've happened over the last 2 months, right? She couldn't have randomly thought of these moves and practiced them in her free time. I'm quite sure she never even had free time! What could've happened?! Did she train herself to be this good so that she could kill her father? But that doesn't make any sense. Why would she go through all the trouble to learn how to roll if she could've easily slit his throat while he was asleep?

"Deeeerek?" Damien said while waving his hand in front of my face "You spaced out man."

"Lot on my mind..." I mumbled back and got on with trying to teach them how to fight. Damien was doing okay with shifting so far. He was far from getting full control but he was making steady progress.

It was around noon. I was sitting on my couch, over thinking things. I'd managed to get Liz to get some sleep. After the other two left I could see that she was tired but didn't wanted to give in.

"What if I promise you that we'll watch a movie tonight if you go to sleep now?" I'd said while she was leaning against me looking up in my eyes. She'd pouted like she was thinking and eventually agreed but only if it was a good movie.

I could hear her soft breaths coming from the other room. I sighed deeply when I realized that there was no way I could know what had happened to her.

My screen lit up and showed Stiles's message. Have you found anything yet?

My fingers hovered above the screen thinking of what I should say.

She is a closed book. Every time I want to ask her she shuts up with an carefully thought of answer. The only thing she's showed me is that she's become good at fighting. Like REALLY good.

After reading it again I pressed send. It didn't take long before I got Stiles's reply.
Haven't you asked her? And why was she fighting in the first place?!

I couldn't. She's obviously very careful about what she's letting us know and what she's leaving out of her stories.
And she just wanted to prove something.

Her dad is dead. Don't you think we need to know a little bit more about what happened? And what do you mean prove something?

She'll tell us when she's ready and she wanted to prove that she could beat me in a fight.

'Stiles is typing...' It said that for nearly A minute until I got spammed by him.

Hahaha no way you got beaten by Liz? She's in no state to fight what did you do? Let her win?

I'm telling you, she became really good at it in the last 2 months.

She seriously beat you?

I ignored Stiles's texts and locked my phone.

Liz's POV

The door slammed open. I knew far too well that I shouldn't be caught sleeping. I jumped up from the bed and, already in defensive position, scanned the room to see who'd woken me.

"Liz!" Allison and Lydia cried and ran towards me. In the background I saw Stiles and Derek swap some concerned looks since they'd seen how I'd gotten up. Ah shit. They'll ask questions about it. I shouldn't have jumped up as if I were under attack! But how could I have known? You can't just switch back to this life. I also couldn't switch back when I had to go back. That gave me some trouble-

Allison didn't hesitate and immediately engulfed me in a hug. I hadn't thought that she would do that so I immediately shoved her and jumped back by reflex. Allison looked a bit hurt but Lydia held her back.

"She just woke up and you attack her with a hug?" She said to Allison.

I got my brain together again and quickly apologized to Allison. "Sorry, you startled me."

"It's okay. I shouldn't have dived in like that." She said with an apologetic smile. Ah fuck I hurt her feelings. Way to go dipshit!

I blinked a couple of times to try to get rid of the burning under my eyes but it didn't work.

"So how are you feeling?" Stiles asked carefully.

"I'm okay." I said with my emotionless face. They didn't need to know that I was exhausted, cold and had an headache. I'll survive.

Stiles and Scott swapped some meaningful looks at each other with an obvious meaning behind them. They were plotting something. How much would they've found out by now? They must've found out something. Stiles isn't one to just sit around where there is a mystery to be solved.

"So uh..." Stiles began "Your father huh?"

He knows. Better to just say it. "Yeah. He's dead."

As soon as the words left my lips the air in the room became heavy. The others studied my face to look for hints or maybe any trace of emotions but I kept it straight. What were they thinking I was gonna do? Cry? Dance?

"Condolences." Lydia said trying to break the tension.

"Did... Uhm... Did you..." Allison tried.

"No. I didn't."
