| 2 years in the future |

For the fifth time Abella plays her album from the top as if it's going to magically sound different. Her voice fills the room as the intro plays all over again and she speaks...

"I asked God to teach me a lesson in loving unconditionally... & he gave me you. I prayed so long & hard for you, God probably channeled Khia & said, "Next caller!" You're my soul connection. What we have is metaphysical. Our relationship is between mind & matter. It's between potentiality & actuality. We are among the natural. I allow you to be weak & vulnerable. You let me be strong. We fight everyday to maximize infinitely. We will grow in love over infinite time forever."

The words sink in and before the first song on the album starts playing she hits the pause button forcefully making the room fall silent.

Abella stares at her MacBook not making a single move. She sits in her personal studio in New York City drumming her fingers on the table. She is supposed to be sending the final mixed and mastered version of her album to her label, so it can be posted the following day to be made available for streaming and purchase. That meant it would be available to millions of people... Millions of people she has tried to keep out of her relationship for the past few years despite both parties involved being public figures.

Two weeks ago Abella locked herself in this same studio with her older brother, Odera. Odee was more than just her big brother. They co-produce and co-write everything together.

Within that week Odera witnessed Abella cry, have emotional breakdowns, a panic attack, laugh, and smile while making this project where she relived memories. The intention was to pour out everything she has ever felt to her now husband of a mere three weeks.

The honeymoon stage didn't last long due to him having to be in an 8-week training camp to prepare for his upcoming boxing match. It was probably the most important fight of his career to date. Although they wouldn't be able to see each other physically, Abella wanted to still be with him. The music always connected them, so she created an original playlist just for him that he requested.

The 12 songs came from her heart. Nothing was written down. It was whatever came to mind. She sent it to him the day he left. It had no title, no cover, and the songs didn't even have names. The subject line just said For Femi.

Within that week Anthony was able to sit with the music. He listened to it on runs, in the shower, on the way to the gym, at the gym, while sparring, before bed, anytime. He appreciated the masterpiece in its entirety.

Both Anthony and Odera told Abella it was her best work to date. Abella would agree, but she knew if she put it out to the public all her business would be out there. Every song pointed to a serious moment in her relationship with Anthony. It was real life and not just lyrics that were catchy enough to be chart topping hits.
