"wow" jack says raising his eyebrows as i enter the venue. i smile, beginning to blush as he continues to stare at me. "Wow" he says again as i stand in front of him. "you look amazing" he says smiling at me, looking me up and down again. "Jack in a tux?" i smirk, teasing him and he laughs. "molly threatened me." he says making me laugh at how that's actually something she would do. jack barely ever dresses up so this will be a once in a life time view.
"let me take a picture of you two" my mom smiles from hind us. we both pose and she takes the picture. "beautiful" she smiles again, putting her phone away and going to find a spot to sit at. "you told me it made you look good but i didn't know you meant this good" he raises his eyebrows making me laugh a little and shake my head. "i don't know how to reply to all of these compliments" i say honestly. i'm not used to all the compliments he gives me all the time. "you'll have to get used to it" he shrugs, taking my hand and guiding me over to our friends to we're eyeing us closely.
"so when do you sing?" i ask remembering the day he told me he was going to sing at her wedding. "i'm singing during their first dance" he says making me smile at how he gets to share that with them. "what song?" i ask and he shakes his head. "wait and find out" he winks making me roll my eyes and smile at how he always keeps things as a mystery.
Through out the whole ceremony i couldn't help but smile at molly and her soon to be husband. My wedding has always been something i've dreamt of since i was at least ten. me and sahar would always look at wedding dresses in magazines planning the day like it was happening the next week. we've always been so eager to see who'd get married first and who we'd get married to. i couldn't help but think what if jack and i end up lasting so long that we get married. I don't know if he'd be down with that type of serious relationship...after all we are only in high school and kind of young to be thinking about it but i know we will at least get to experience the day. I'm sure jack would make a great husband.

i watch as jack walks up to the small stage that he was about to sing on. "I just want to make a quick toast for the newly weds." he says holding up his water bottle making some people around the venue laugh a little at him. "May all your hopes and dreams come true, and may the memory of this day become dearer with each passing year. i couldn't be more happy for you two. i love you both" He smiles as he holds up his water bottle and everyone else holds up their drinks smiling at jacks quick toast.
"and now for the first dance" he speaks up after a minute of silence. molly and her husband, lee, walk to the middle of the floor causing people around the building to gather around them to watch. the dj up there next to him starts playing a song and i instantly realized what it was.
"it's our song" i hear my mom whisper from beside me as she looks over at my dad, smiling. this was the song they danced to at their wedding as well.
"i met you in the dark, you lit me up. you made me feel as though i was enough. we danced the night away we drank too much." he starts to sing. i loved watching him sing, he always gets so into it and you can just tell it brings joy to him from how he carries it the vocals. i look over at molly and lee dancing, she was tearing up as she looked up at lee with the biggest smile. they both held one as the held onto eachother. they seemed like they couldn't be happier and i loved that for them. i've only talked to him a few times but he made me laugh everytime he opened his mouth, he was really funny.
"You did so good" i smile when he finished and walked over to me, johnson and sahar. before he could speak up my mom holds onto his shoulder. "that was beautiful jack" she tells him, she had watery eyes but not enough to cry. she was happy he chose that song. "thank you!" he says smiling. he gives her a hug and she walks off and grabs my dad to go dance along with other couples to the song that was now playing.
he looks at me and doesn't say anything he just smiles and pulls me into a kiss, smiling through the whole thing. "let's dance"
