The morning sun shone outside with the promise of another hot day in the south of France while inside the bedroom of their hotel suite a couple lay together lovingly in each others embrace, their legs entwined with just a thin white sheet covering their naked bodies. A pair of Louboutin shoes lay on the floor to one side of the bed and clothes were scattered around the room, also on the floor, along with two discarded pillows. Seb was the first to wake up and he let out a breath, feeling contented with Chloe's body pressed against his and her head on his chest. His fingers began to trail idly in circles over her shoulder as he wondered what he could do in the race today from seventh on the grid. It had been another challenging weekend so far for the team with a few updates being trialed on the cars without success, that elusive sweet spot in setup and performance still seemed to be evading them. He felt her stir and begin to wake up so he turned his attention to her head and stroked his fingertips through her hair until she stretched, pressing herself against him as she did so.
"Please don't let it be morning already." She mumbled. "I'm not ready to wake up yet."

"Well I am." Seb replied. "I'm starving, I need breakfast." His stomach suddenly rumbled in agreement making Chloe giggle.

"Jesus Seb!" She lifted her head. "You best get up and see what delights Antti and his restrictive fucking diet has got in store for you today then."

"It will be the same delights as yesterday." He chuckled, amused that she'd remembered his less than complimentary description of his trainer's diet plan. "Just one thing before we get up...." He rolled them both over so that he was now on top of her and placed a kiss on her forehead before starting to pepper her face with kisses until she was giggling again. "That's my favourite sound, hearing you laugh." He stroked her cheek and joined his lips with hers, giving her a long, passionate kiss until the sound of the door to the suite opening and closing interrupted them.

"That will be Antti with his restrictive fucking diet." Chloe grinned, finding Antti's timing ironically impeccable as Seb was starting to get a little excited.

"Shit." He muttered, letting his head fall to her shoulder as they heard Antti call for Seb.

With Victoria and Harry on one side of her and Antti on the other, the four of them stood rooted to the spot and Chloe shut her eyes as the lights went out and the cars sped away to start the race.
"It's ok, you can look." Harry gave her a nudge less than a minute later and she opened one eye and then the other as she realised that Seb had survived the start, unscathed, and had retained his position. "Are you always like this?" He chuckled.

"Kind of, yeah." She replied, without taking her eyes off the screen that was just above them.

"What she meant to say was, yeah she's always like this." Antti grinned. Seb's voice briefly filled their ears with a message about the lights being a bit unexpected, all four of them had red headsets on so that they could listen in to any radio transmissions with the pit wall. Antti eyes flickered down from the screen as Chloe quickly checked the emails on her phone, there was still no word from Sabine but plenty of emails from various press and tv outlets. "I thought you was leaving work until later?" He asked, she shot him a quick glance.

"I may have to answer a few of these, they're building up already." She locked the screen and shoved her phone into the back pocket of her jeans.

"I'm sure they can wait until you get in to the office tomorrow, enjoy the afternoon with your friends." Forgetting, yet again, that he wasn't supposed to touch her he stroked a hand down her back. Luckily everyone was too engrossed in the race to notice.

By the half way point in the race Seb was in for a change of tyres and Victoria craned her neck to catch a glimpse of Lina, the car was sat in the pit box for just a couple of seconds before leaving to rejoin the track frustratingly back behind Max Verstappen in fifth position. "Oh my god, they're like lightening!" She breathed, referring to the highly trained pit crew.
