Antti would be shocked, thought Seb as he ran through the Swiss countryside near his home, shocked but impressed. During summer break he wasn't usually quite so active for the first couple of weeks, scaling down his training schedule from daily to maybe every other day while his trainer was away and then upping it again on the third week when Antti returned from Finland. But with Chloe away he'd been doing whatever he could to keep himself busy, from running, to spending extra time in the gym, to working on one of his classic motorcycles that he'd suddenly decided needed an overhaul (though it didn't really), and even looking at buying another one to add to his collection. He'd also been looking at new cars, more specifically a Ferrari Portofino, not for himself but for Chloe after he'd seen her excitedly having a good look round one in the car park at Hungary. He knew that she'd think it was a guilt present, and to be honest she'd be right, but he really hoped that if he could get one delivered before her return that he'd be able to persuade her to accept his gift. He knew he couldn't buy her forgiveness or another shot at their relationship but he hoped that the car would at least be a start. Stopping to take a breath, Seb checked his phone; still no word from Chloe, she'd been gone for five days now and he'd not heard one single word from her since she'd text to say she'd landed, even though he'd text her everyday to tell her that he was sorry and that he loved her. He stared at the image of her on his phone's screen a bit harder, willing for her to call or text, but there was nothing. His heart ached, he was missing her like crazy and he was trying hard not take her silence as a sign that they were over for good. He raised his phone to his lips and kissed the screen before putting it back in his pocket and setting off on his run once more, right now every step he ran was another step closer to seeing the woman he loved.

Returning from his run a while later, he was outside going through some cool down stretches when an all too familiar BMW 3 series came gliding down the drive, Hannah. If it wasn't for his kids he would have made her hand back the remote for the gate and the keys to his house, he hated her turning up without warning as though she still lived here. He watched as the car came to a stop and Hannah got out. She opened the back door and soon two very excited little girls were running at full pelt towards him. He instantly felt a burst of happiness as he squatted down to the ground with his arms open wide, he could always trust these two to lift his spirits no matter how bad things were. As they rushed into his arms they bowled him over, making him fall backwards, laughing, taking his two giggling daughters with him.
"Ach du lieber Gott! Papa hat euch beide so sehr vermisst!!" (Oh dear god! Daddy missed you both so much!!) He exclaimed as he showered them both with little kisses, making them burst into laughter. For a moment he'd kind of forgotten that Hannah was stood there watching them but as he sat up he could see her smiling, amused by his little reunion with his kids. "Hi." He looked up at her while Leonie hung around his neck.

"Hi. I thought maybe you'd want to spend a long weekend with these two."

"I'd love to." He smiled as he got up onto his feet.

"Only I'm going away." She sounded a little hesitant.

"Ok, well it's no problem, I'd love for them stay over, I've missed them." He unlocked the door and held it open, letting his daughters and Hannah inside. He had a feeling that there was something she was wanting to tell him, it was unusual for her to just drop the kids off like this.

"I've met someone." She said as she followed him through the hallway and into the lounge.

"Oh." This was news to him and as much as he hated the thought of a new man being introduced to his children, he knew that it was inevitable that it would happen.

"Yeah, he wants to take me to Rome for the weekend." She smiled.

"Right." Seb felt his happiness dissolve, there was his ex with a new man who was going to whisk her away for a weekend, while he was newly single, heartbroken and knew that it was all his own doing.
