ASHANTI

Trey came around my side of the car and opened the door for me.

He took my hand and led me inside his house. He changed it from the last time I had been in here.

It was so chic and modern.

I really liked it.

He led me into his kitchen and I smelt something so delicious it made my mouth water.

"Just in time," he murmured.

He hurried to the oven and pulled out a hot plate.

I honestly didn't know what it was, but it looked and smelled delicious.

"Mmm... what is it?," I asked.

"Try it and then I'll tell you," he said with a smirk. He grabs a spoonful and feeds me it. I swallow it and it's honestly the best thing I've ever tasted in my life.

"Oh my god! This is amazing," I exclaimed.
"It's called Paella. It's a Spanish dish usually made for two people. This is my first time making it, but I always try to challenge myself as a chef and make a dish my own. So, what do you think really?," he asked staring at me intently.

"Honestly, it's amazing. I can't believe it's your first time making it," I said with a smile.

"My compliments to the sexy chef," I say winking at him.

"You got a little something there," he says wiping my lip with his thumb.

He was so concentrated on wiping off my face while I just stared into his mesmerizing eyes until he finally met my gaze.

We were both quiet and neither of us broke eye contact, not even for a second.

His hand never left from my cheek and I could feel my skin lighting on fire where he touched.

I inched closer until we were merely an inch apart and he closed the distance between us finally.

It was a sweet peck that left my lips tingling when he pulled away.

I grabbed his collar and brought his lips onto mine once more. I wanted his touch so bad, I was craving it more than anything.

The kiss became stronger until I was on top of the counter and he was between my legs. He ravished my body, his hand exploring every inch as his lips never left mine.

I threw off his jacket and I began to unbutton his shirt.

"We should stop," he suddenly pulled away and stepped back from me.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to come on so strong," I spoke.

I hopped down from the counter and I stepped close to him.

"I don't want to get myself hurt with everything that's been going on with your ex. I don't want to start something with you and you end up going back to him. I really like you and that might make me soft, but I'm soft for the people I care about and I do care about you," he let out.

This man is different but a wonderful different and it was honestly the most refreshing experience.

I closed the distance between us this time and I kissed him with no hesitation.

"I'm not going back to him. I like you too and everything that I know about you so far is everything I have wanted. I'm ready to try this with you," I say truthfully.

Lamonte was the last thing on my mind and I was so ready to move on with my life.

Trey proved to be the perfect guy, he may be the one that I've been waiting for.

That I should've waited for.

40 minutes later...

The rest of our night went by smoothly.

We finished eating the Paella and every single bite just got better and better.

After dinner, we went by the pool and sat u in a big bed-like hammock and drank wine.

We talked about everything.

"My dream is to one day be a world renowned chef. Sure, I'm well-known in Seattle, but I want everyone to know my name. I want to have restaurants in different states and even different countries. I know it sounds crazy and way too over the top, but I've always wanted that since I was a kid," he said with a glow in his eyes.

He was so passionate about his work and my eyes were glued to him the whole time as he raved about his craft.

"I don't think that it's crazy at all. You should follow your heart and I will help you in anyway you need me to," I stated.

"Thank you, but it is crazy," he laughed for a moment. He continued to say, "What about you? What is your dream?"

"I want to open up my own law firm and make it into a successful business. I want to work hard and make something for myself, even if it doesn't become as successful as my parent's firm. They want me to take over the business when they are ready to retire, but I just don't want everything to be handed to me. Sure, my passion became a passion because of them, but it doesn't mean I want everything given by them. I want to work hard for me and for people to know me for my individuality, not because my parents passed it to me," I said looking at the sky in wonderment.

I looked at Trey and he was staring at me with such intensity that I almost crumbled.

"What?," I asked.

"You are so beautiful. I like how well-spoken you are and the fact you're so ambitious. You have a goal on your board and I think you will be able to accomplish whatever you put your mind to. You're obviously an intelligent woman and I believe that you can achieve greatness," he said rubbing my thigh.

My heartbeat began running a mile a minute. His touch was so igniting, but I couldn't show that it was affecting me so much already.

I couldn't help but blush at his sweet words. He made me feel like I could do anything.

Our conversation went on like that for a while.

We talked about our dreams, our hopes, our fears, our regrets, and even our futures.

"How many kids do you want?," I asked.

"I want four. I want 3 boys and 1 girl, but I'll be happy either way as long as they are healthy. What about you?," he answered quickly.

"I want three, preferably all boys," I say with a shrug.

He laughed and asked, "Why no girls?"

"I don't know. Boys are so cute and they'd be a momma's boy. I like the picture of that."

"But if you had a girl, she would look just like you and you would bless the world with a mini you," he argued.

"I thought I was the lawyer here, but you make some interesting points. I'll think about it," I said with a chuckle.

I barely even talked about a future with Lamonte.

Not even a glimpse of what our life would be like, but with Trey, everything was laid out on the table.

I mean on the first night we spilled our whole life stories to one another and he's clearly not afraid of commitment.

I couldn't help but think about the prospect of my future with Trey.
