It was 11:30 pm and I was walking back home, I had just left my friend's house. She only lived a few minutes away so there was no sense in driving. I was coming up on my apartment building when I heard footsteps coming from behind me. I turned to see a tall man running straight for me, his eyes wide. I froze like a deer in the headlights.

Oh god, this is it, this is how I die. Some creep is gonna take me and make a dress out of my skin!

As he got close I closed my eyes and braced for impact, totally expecting him to throw me to the ground. The footsteps stopped. I opened my eyes to see him standing in front of me with the same stunned expression.

"Shit, I'm sorry I didn't see you!! I'm running cause I'm afraid of the dark!" He exclaimed. I couldn't help but giggle at this tall toned man being scared of the dark.

"It's okay, I am too," I giggled.

"Alright well see ya!" He took off running again, going into the apartments I lived in. So he lives in the same building as me, huh? I guess I'll see him around again. Maybe next time he won't be rushing home because of the night.
