*Note: This chapter is written in 3rd person as it is a different POV. Also, it's in English but imagine that the dialogue is in Korean. Good luck.

Seoul

It was too quiet in the apartment.

There were always people around—staff, managers. Even the CEO had paid a rare visit.

But there was no Violet.

There was no color here without her. No joy. No life. No music. She had packed all that up with her when she left...when she left them behind.

The seven members had barely spoken to each other. They'd barely spoken to anyone. They'd been trying to wrap their heads around what went wrong—what they had said, what they had done—to make her believe that they would be ok without her. That they could just pick up and press forward like she hadn't undoubtedly changed their entire lives.

Violet had been their missing piece—the person that had given their songs meaning. They had always dreamt of how their first real love would be and she had managed to turn that fantasy into something warm and sensual and magical and just...right. She was right for each of them. Yet, it had all turned horribly wrong.

The seven of them had tortured themselves with questions for hours, days. Had they not loved her enough? Had they not made her feel desired? Special? Valued? They tried. They tried so hard to fill those empty spaces with light and beauty, even to the point of distraction. And it wasn't because she demanded it of them. They wanted to spend every waking hour with the girl whose radiant smile had become their most treasured scenery. They wanted her infectious laughter to serve as the soundtrack of their day and her whispered words to lull them to sleep at night. Violet was by far the most fascinating person they'd ever met, and they'd spent hours upon hours learning her inside and out. Yet, they still couldn't understand why...why had she abandoned them? Why now when they were all so close to just a little slice of peace and happiness?

The media had been brutal, they knew that. And they had been paying the price for stepping out the box of standard k-pop idol culture. That wasn't new for them, per se. But dating? Yeah. That was a shock to their fans. Add the fact that they were all committed to the same woman and they could understand the pushback. It was harsh, but they could take it.

Apparently, Violet could not.

No one was handling her absence well. Heartache could be felt in every crack and fissure of the building. They could still smell her on the couch, on their sheets, on the hoodies and tees she would swipe from them when she missed them and wanted to feel cozy. They could still imagine her dancing around the kitchen and singing songs from the playlist they made just for her. They could still taste her on their own lips. Because no amount of soap and water could wash her away. Violet had become a permanent fixture in their lives in only a matter of months. And now...now they didn't know how to move on. They didn't know if they ever could.

Namjoon felt the most pressure to press forward. But god...it was impossible. Like most of the others, he had stayed in his room for the past few days. The manager hyungs would come to check up on him, bringing in food and water to ensure he was nourished. They even tried to distract him with work-related matters. But none of that mattered. He didn't give a shit about any of it. And while he always remained cool-headed and diplomatic, he was dangerously close to telling them just that. He just wanted to hide away and be selfish with his pain. He didn't want to care.
