Ava's pov

I feel my head throb in pain as I feel my eyes slowly opening and my vision being restored. I realise I am back in the hotel room and I was lying on my bed. Alone

As soon I am about to rise up to sit, I am thrown back as Lia jumps over me hugging me with all he might

"MOMMA. You are awake," she exclaimed.

"Yes baby."

"I was shoo scared momma. Momma I love you," she said in her adorable voice making my heart melt

"Aww Lia. I love you more sweetheart."

But just as I said those words, my heart palpitated. 'Sweetheart'. That is what he called me when he saw me. And although I recieved so many endearments from Draco, somehow that specific word made me feel things. Certain things I was unaware of.

Our bonding time was interrupted when Draco entered the room and as he looked at me, I could see a bit on anger in his orbs. And I knew why

"Lia. I need to talk to your mom. Go play for a while."

"But I want to stay with momma," she spoke with her puppy dog eyes which no one could resist.

But for the first time, Draco ignored this look of her as he said sternly,

"Lia. Don't make me repeat it. I have to talk about something important. You can stay with her later."

Her doe shaped eyes turned doleful as said that as she immediately ran away from both of us. I was sure she would start crying now.

As I left the bed to go behind her, Draco caught hold of my hand, preventing me from talking to her.

"She will be fine. I'll go to her later on. But right now you and I need to talk"

"Draco I.."

"Why were you talking to him?"

"I..."

"Yes tell me. Why were you talking to him when I specifically told you not to? And more so, why were you alone with him?"

"Why did you tell me not to talk to him"

"Don't you see Ava. He hates me. We have been rivals since so long. He would do anything to ruin my life. And more so, he got screwed in the head after his wife died. And you saw the evidence of it with your own eyes."

"I...that means he really loved her, didn't he?"

"THAT IS BESIDES THE POINT"

"I know...I'm...I'm sorry. I was just...I don't know why I talked to him okay. He asked me for a dance and I couldn't say no. And then suddenly he just took me to a corner and.."

"He kissed you," Draco completed

"Yes but..."

"Why didn't you push him away?"

"What"

"Why didn't you push him away? Did you enjoy kissing him?"

"Draco. That's bullshit. I slapped him"

"Yes. Because I intervened right."

"SHUT UP. What's wrong with you? I was just thrown off guard okay. What do you think of me? Do you think I asked for him to kiss me? Is that how much you trust me?"

And as soon as I said that, I could see regret clearly in his eyes.

"Ava..Sunshine I'm sorry. I was just so angry when I saw him kissing you and I..."
