(Y/N)'S POV:

You were walking down the hall from getting your celebratory drink. You were honestly so happy with the test.

You were still a bit of a nervous reck, but not as much as usual and you think you did a lot better then usual as well.

Once you had made it to the cafeteria, you ran to get in line for food and sit with your friends.

As you were approaching the table you could clearly see Midoriya's flustered face, everyone seemed to be in a very intense conversation with all eyes fixed on the green headed boy.

You couldn't help but wonder what they were talking about, did Midoriya say something weird?

You approached them quickly so you could enter the conversation.

"What're you guys talking about?" You smiled.

"AH, (L/N)-CHAN!" Midoriya yelped and stiffened. "A-ah, we weren't really talking about anything! Just the usual, ahaha." He continued.

You eyed him suspiciously "Umm... okay then..." You decided not to pry. As much as you wanted to know, he obviously talking something he wasn't comfortable sharing with you.

Everyone at the table seemed a bit awkward, avoiding eyes with you and silently shoving food into their mouth... well except for Ochako, she was beaming and eyes gleaming at you like she wanted to desperately tell you something.

"Anyway, how are you guys doing?" You asked trying to break the tension of the table.

Everyone replied and you were luckily able to strike up another conversation.

Though Midoriya kinda seemed out of it, staring at his food or off in the distance with a dazed sort of look. Sometimes he would glance at you, but only to turn away in a second with pink dusting his cheeks. You could only imagine that he was thinking about what the others were saying earlier.

Lunch ended soon after and you returning to your classes. Luckily there won't be any more testing till tomorrow so you didn't have to worry as much.

(TIME SKIP)

"Go home and get good rest, we will continue our testing tomorrow." Aizawa-sensei announces as the last bell of school rang.

You met up with Midoriya and the others as usual and started to make your way to the station.

Midoriya was still acting strange, specifically around you.

It really frustrated you because you couldn't tell if he was just flustered like usual or maybe he was angry or uncomfortable. Either way, you didn't like the way he was avoiding you.

You just decided to ignore it for now, but if he acts the same tomorrow, you're going to confront him about it.

Once you guys got to the station you said your goodbyes and headed to the train where you would meet Shoto.

"Hey there." You approached the duel haired boy, waving to him.

"Hello." He said back as you sat next to him.

As the train started moving, you started a conversation with Shoto about a movie you watched recently, he just sat and listened to you rant, occasionally nodding to confirm he was still listening.

The train slowed at your stop and you two got off and started walking.

"(Y/n)." Shoto said, grabbing your attention as you looked in his direction. You gave a small hum to tell him you're listening.

"How do you feel about Midoriya?" He glanced curiously at you, anticipating your answer.

"Hmm.... he's an amazing person. He's just so selfless in everything he does, even though that could sometimes lead to him acting a bit reckless." You thought hard about all the things you liked about the boy.

"He's also smart... like really smart. How could someone know so much about everything? His strength is something to mention as well, both mentally and physically. He's just improved so much in such a short amount of time. Everything about him is something to strive for, it's almost unfair just how astonishing he is."

You looked at Shoto and to your surprise... his lips were curled into a slight smile.

"I think he would appreciate you saying that." He said.

"Where did this come from and why are you acting so out of character?" You were bewildered by how weird he was acting.

"You'll find out soon enough." He started to walk slightly ahead of you.

"Hey! What does that mean!?"

"Nothing." He continued.

"Ugh your so frustrating."

"Ohh, I'm the one who is frustrating." He sassed.

You guys continued bickering until you arrived to your apartment. He said bye and walked off as you plopped on the couch of your living room.

'Why was everyone acting so weird today?' You couldn't help but ask yourself.

First your friends were having a secret conversation behind your back, then Midoriya avoided you for the rest of the day, and you didn't even know what was going on with Shoto.

What could they possibly be hiding from you? Do they hate you? Did some rumor go around about you? You just couldn't put a pin on what's happening.

You shook your head in an attempt to erase bad thoughts in invade your mind. If there was something happening, your friends would tell you. They're not those type of people. You just had to trust them and hopefully things would go back to normal tomorrow.

You decided it was best to get ready to sleep. Midoriya wanted you to go to bed at 9 while we were testing, which was definitely out of your normal sleep schedule, but it would give you energy and lower your stress.

You proceeded to your bathroom where you took a shower and finished the rest of your nightly routine. You then cooked a ramen dinner.

Once you finished eating, you did the meditation thing Midoriya showed you and headed your way to your cozy bed.

You lied down and thought about the freckled boy and what you said to Shoto.

'I think he would appreciate you saying that.' What did that mean? I mean... yeah you could imagine it would feel nice to be complimented, but why did Shoto make it sound so important

Those thoughts kept floating throughout your head before you slowly fell asleep.
