Kayla- "Hey dad" I said trying to cover the lump in my throat but failed.

K Dad- "Oh hi kay are you ok what happened?" He said hearing my stupid ass voice crack and me sniffling.

K - "It's nun I guess but I'm fed up with this place and was wondering if Me and Kobe could go live with you for a fresh start." The only reason Kobe and I was still living with our mom was cause neither of us could leave.

D- "Of course! No problem but you have to finish your last week of school there. Start packing and I'll come over to talk to your mom tomorrow.

K- "thanks. I'm sorry..." I said getting emotional.

D- "for what?"

K- "I should've chose to live with you when we were in court. You've been there for me and Kobe no matter what but instead I chose her."

D-"don't worry about it I love you both so much and it's not ur fault your mother changed a lot and you were young."

K- "Alright Thanks for everything but I gtg byeee."

D-" Bye."

*end of call and kaylas pov*

I was enjoying the view but I was still crying just not as much as before. I began to doze off at the sight until I felt a tap behind me. I jumped and got tears in my eyes knowing who it could be. When ever Ethan touched me he would always hurt me or threaten me. Now whenever someone touches me I always jump cause that bitch gave me trauma.

I turned around and saw Kobe a look of relief crossed my face. He tried to hug me but I jumped from the bruises all over my body from the fight and some that Ethan recent my gave me but no one knew it was from him and that he hurt me that bad. Kobe knew I always came here when I'm sad

Kobe- "um, u good?"

He asked noticing the little jump.

Kayla-"yeah my body is just sore from earlier."

I lied I'll tell them soon maybe.

Ko- "Alright tell me if you need anything. Also who were u talking to earlier?"

Ka-"Oh about that it was dad, and I asked to live with him."

I said.

Ko-"Oh-"

Ka- "I asked for both of us and he said of course it's just up to you don't worry."

I cut him off seeing his eyes turned glossy.

Ko- "aight I'm down I though you finna leave me."

Ka- "what? I would never. I love you"

He said it back and we hugged.

Ka- "Alr imma dip big head byeee."

Ko- "aight love you be safe" he said as we went in our separate directions.

I started to drive home and heard a familiar voice as I stood out the door I looked in the drive way and saw a familiar car. Shit it was-
