That night-

That night I stayed up late. I wanted to see Thomas and hope things would magically get better. They didn't. Because while I stayed awake in my comfy batman footie pajamas, watching reruns of Friends, he never came.

The next night-

Thomas didn't come again. I went to school today much to my displeasure. Ryder was so serious it scared me for a moment. I remember what he had said clearly, but I still was a bit bummed by the people he calls friends.

"Look," he said just as I had sat down in my seat in Teen Living. "I'm sorry about my friends. If I had known they'd act like that I wouldn't have let you sit with me." After I never replied he started to bite at his lower lip. "Are you okay? I really am sorry Lilly.."

Then I smiled and nodded to him, not waning to talk to him anymore. "I'm fine. I'll take Jack again." I said and turned my head once again.

He didn't say anything else to me for the rest of class.

Saturday Morning-

I didn't really wake up, as I didn't find any sleep last night. My phone buzzed annoyingly due to someone calling me, and I groaned as I answered it. "Hello?"

"Hello love, haven't seen you in a while." I smiled hearing the familiar voice echo through my phone.

"James," I said in almost a dreamy voice. He chuckled into the phone softly, making me come back to my senses. What the hell was I doing?

"Wanna go out? There's that new movie Guardians of the Galaxy playing in an hour or so." He paused and I could just imagine him scratching his head nervously. "You're into that syfy stuff so I was wondering if you'd maybe wanna go."

I giggled into my end of the phone and smiled. "Yeah sure. Let me just shower and actually get out of bed." I told him. After sharing a few more words into our conversation that literally was heading no where, I hung up.

I skipped over to the bathroom and turned on the water, letting it heat up as I stripped off my shirt.

You know how in Abnegation its a big thing to not look at yourself in the mirror for too long? Well I couldn't be in that faction for a day. For girls a mirror is like a lifeline or a consultant, always showing you the truth. While for boys, a mirror is more of a personal trainer for that perfect sexy look.

My shirt landed somewhere on the tiled floor as I leaned in close to the mirror. My eyes were bright green, as usual, and my hair was a bit oily and stringy. I groaned a bit in disgust. How had I not taken a shower?

My mind snapped elsewhere and I I noticed there were a few new zits to accompany my freckles. I was not a red head. I had no red heads in my genes or family tree at all; so why my entire body was covered with freckles, is still a mystery to me.

The rest of my clothes soon made it to the floor as I stepped into the shower. A sigh escaped my lips as the hot water cascaded down my body. I needed to relax. Maybe relaxing more would help me sleep. That damn boy has been on my mind for so long that it's gotten me back to my bad sleeping routines.

I shake my head as if that would make my thoughts fall from my ears and down the drain. Without another thought of any boy, I enjoyed my hot shower.

"Ready to go?" James said once I opened the door. I nodded and grinned up at my old friend.

"Ready as I'll ever be," I chirped and followed him out. He lead me to his car, an old red pick up truck, and opened the door for me. "So what time does the movie start?" I asked as I climbed in.

"An hour," he shrugged a bit.

I frowned at that and watched as he got in and started up the engine. "Why so early? Are you taking me out for lunch too~?" I cooed and nudged him playfully.

He blushed and glued his eyes to the road as he drove steadily. A frown took place on my lips. "You're really taking me out to eat? Fuck, go back. I need more money."

He laughed and shook his head, glancing at me. "You're fine, you're fine. I'm paying anyways, Lil." He smiled at me and soon came to a red light. "Does Olive Garden sound good?" He asked.

I gasped and nodded with a bright smile. "It's my favorite! But maybe someplace else. It's really expensive."

He laughed again and shook his head. "You really expect me to take you somewhere else right after you said it was your favorite?"

I frowned softly and shrugged a bit. What would I say? Oh yeah. I just figured you'd do whatever I said because I'm awesome. No! Get a hold of yourself Lillian! He's just trying to be nice. That's all.

"So is this a date?"

He smiled and glanced at me once but didn't answer. He came to another red light and turned to me as he bit his lip. Some of his golden blonde hair started to fall into his eyes and I had a small urge to reach up and tuck it back. He always had longer hair then most boys.

"Well it's only a date if you agree to it," he said. "So, will you Lillian Maxwell accompany me on a date this lovely Saturday morning?" He asked and smiled a charming smile. His British accent made my inside tingle and my heart leap. It was almost as beautiful as Thomas'.

What the hell?! He needs to get out of my damn mind for the last time!

I smiled at him and giggled softly. "It would be my pleasure." And with that he grinned and continued to drive to Olive Garden.
